Open since 1997, Ballard Fetherston Gallery specializes in conventional formats tweaked by unconventional matter and style. While narrative art is featured, abstract pieces predominate. With eclectic artists whose oils are actually canvases covered in paint peeled from oil drums and sidewalk art, the art here looks less and less ordinary the longer you gaze. Other artists have been culled from the local scene, as well as from the rest of the country and abroad.
Great gallery that shows eclectic work that will highten the imagination. Highly recommend this spot if your traveling to Seattle. The gallery is expanding and will show more sculpture and a variety of new artists.
