be prepaired for an all day outing
By smilez4lyfe19, 9/18/05
There is no way you could see everything there is to see at woodland park zoo in seattle. It has grown so much since i was a little girl. Now it is one of the biggest zoo's in the U.S. It has so many differant things to see. The animals have so much space to rome but yet it isnt imposable to see the animals. They have it set up so the animals can have as much space as they need but you have a few differant views to be able to see the animals. This is one place i would have to say you cant come to seattle with out visiting the famous woodland park zoo.

Who Loves Animal?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/05
Was the experience fun? Yes, I love seeing animals in small cages and pens. It makes me appreciate my own freedom. Would you recommend it to others? Yes, but only if they don't mind the sad expressions on the faces of the animals. Was it worth the time/money? Yes, I don't have to fly to Africa now that I've seen the fake little village the zoo keeps set up for me.

Exotic Escape
By Kim, 9/14/05
The Woodland Park Zoo provides an exotic escape from the city into luscious up close and personal exhibits. There are so many paths to choose from and a variety of shows and snack shops along the way. I enjoyed a refreshing Icee as I watched the penguins swim about. Then I enjoyed lunch with my friends under the shade of trees in a picnic area as we mapped out our next adventure. Theres something new and exciting around every corner. The animals are striking as they roam their personalized habitats, resembling the culture where they originated. Woodland Park Zoo is a great escape, where you can become a kid again as you travel from exhibit to exhibit; excited to see whats next. Or take a leisurely stroll and spend all day enjoying the sites and company of friendly zoo goers.

Amazed at all the exhibits!
By Michelle, 9/9/05
It was hard to believe there was a zoo behind the trees. There were a ton of exhibits. Many more animals than I expected. Looks like they are building a new play area for the kids.

Best Zoo
By KathyB, 9/8/05
The Woodland park Zoo is the best I've ever been to. I've been visiting for 51 years and it just gets better. The animal spaces are very large and humane. A beautiful park all around.

We love the zoo!
By Lynn G., 8/24/05
It is a great natural zoo, not the kinda where all the animals are in cages. And you just can't beat the value for your money. If you leave nearby, definitely buy a family pass!

A Great Zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/9/05
The Woodland Park Zoo is a great place for families visiting Seattle. There are a variety of animals ranging from lions to snakes. There is a food cort and several preformances with animals through out the day. The zoo is huge, so make sure to bring a pair of good walking shoes and don't expect young children to walk on their own, instead, push them in a stroller. I would suggest that you go during the week if you can because the zoo is usually packed on the weekends.
