Super 2nd Grade Field Trip!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/12/07
This is such a natural environment for the animals. They all look so healthy and content! We are completing our animal reports and were able to get close up views of many of them. There no better way to learn than from first hand experience. Where else can you get that close to a mountain goat?!! Our trip every year is a rich learning experience and goes a long way towards developing future animal and habitat conservationists. Thank you!! Mrs. Waneta Larios, Canyon Creek Elementary

The Seattle zoo
By The Dark Elf, 12/15/06
This is an interesting place to visit during the winter, especially since they have tropical animals on display. It was very quaint seeing frost on the ground for the bengal tiger exhibit. It is a much smaller zoo than the San Diego Wild Animal Park/Zoo, the Los Angeles Zoo, or the National Zoo in Washington DC. But, it is still a worthwhile place to spend the afternoon for a visit.

Best Zoo!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/06
My favorite is the Gorilla's but the whole zoo is great. The only downside is the food but hey it's the animals we came for not the food!

How can we recycle to feed the animals??
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/06
Do you have an Ant Eatter?? I have a friend that has a large ant mound in her yard. Can you use they? She never spays nor does anything that would harm the wild life. The ant mound is growing bigger every week. She is old and lives along, and she is handycapped. My Daddy takes me to your zoo every summer. I live close to the zoo in Tacoma and go there a lot.

Amazing Zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/21/06
Woodland Park Zoo is well worth the short drive from downtown and the price of admission. My daughter has Down Syndrome and loves animals. She kept us walking all day long. The zoo was very well kept and spotlessly clean. The food and drinks were well priced and found in various locations throughout the park. The rose garden just outside the gates is a must see and an great picture spot for the family. We will go back on our next visit to the upper west coast.

Woodland Park Zoo
By anii, 11/20/05
The zoo was one of the best parts about my Seattle trip. My favorites included the bird feeding house and the African village replica. The rainforest exhibit was probably the highlight of the zoo trip. It was interesting to feel what a real rainforest enviroment was like. Everything from the high, humid temperature and exotic creatures to the surprise rainforest shower was incredible. I also enjoyed hidden trails off the main path. Unfortunately, a lot popular showcase animals like lions, tigers, orangutans, zebras, and giraffes were either sleeping, or too far away or hidden to get a good view. The gift shop didn't have very many interesting things and the food was overpriced. Overall, the Woodland Park Zoo was an incredible adventure.
