Woodland Park Zoo
The zoo was one of the best parts about my Seattle trip. My favorites included the bird feeding house and the African village replica. The rainforest exhibit was probably the highlight of the zoo trip. It was interesting to feel what a real rainforest enviroment was like. Everything from the high, humid temperature and exotic creatures to the surprise rainforest shower was incredible. I also enjoyed hidden trails off the main path.
Unfortunately, a lot popular showcase animals like lions, tigers, orangutans, zebras, and giraffes were either sleeping, or too far away or hidden to get a good view. The gift shop didn't have very many interesting things and the food was overpriced.
Overall, the Woodland Park Zoo was an incredible adventure.
