Ride the Ducks of Seattle
Tour Seattle on a refurbished World War II amphibious landing craft. The 90-minute tour includes such attractions as the Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square . Then this strange vehicle plunges into Lake Union. The tour cruises past many houseboats and other lake sights. Tickets can be purchased between the base of the Space Needle and the Monorail Terminal at Seattle Center . Tours leave every hour during the summer, less frequently in the off season.
We have lived in Seattle a long time and were looking for something we hadn't done to show some out of town company the sites of Seattle.
It was so much fun riding around singing with our "Captain Salty Dawg." He pointed out some things we we not aware of, then we got to go into the water and see where Sleepless in Seattle was filmed. It was a beautiful view of the city from the water.
I would recommend it to anyone new to Seattle, or even if you are not new, it was a fun day.
We are planning on going again when we have more visitors.
A little pricey but well worth it!
The tour itself is OK. However, if you do not enjoy hearing duck noise makers that all parents purchase for their little darlings throughout your wait in line and entire trip, this is not the tour for you. There are constant bad jokes that only someone under the age of 10 can appreciate. Also, be prepared to hear Disco Duck, a relly bad song about a Halibut and Sponge Bob Square Pants. To the last song the children on the ride will scream the words at the top of their lungs.
This is definitely a tour geared toward children 12 and under.
My granddaughter and I visited Seattle putting this first on our list of activities. It was so much fun! My granddaughter laughed so hard she was crying ... Our captain was a hoot!! In addition to her vast knowledge as a tour guide she had her music, props and gestures choreographed for everyone (including those outside of the Duck) to enjoy. While the tour alone would have been nice, she made it outstanding ... 90 minutes for $25/$15 of entertainment and all of the memories ... I can't wait to do it again!!
This was the coolest tour we've ever taken. What better way to see the sights of Seattle than with a very funny, personable tour guide that plays great music throughout the trip. I would recommend this tour to EVERYONE! Lots of fun!
My husband was skeptical about spending the money, but it really is the best way to see the city and then figure out where you want to go and spend more time. Our Captain Greg was excellent and very funny. The 90 minutes flew by! My husband thanked me for pushing him to do it!! I'd so recommend it and will look into doing it again in other cities!
Relax and enjoy being a tourist. Have a great tour of the city and enjoy the ride. If you have a sense of humor, you'll love the Duck.
You can't take it too seriously when they play disco duck on the PA. But well worth the money!
Given its proximity to busy roads, Roanoke Park is expected to be anything but quiet. Au contraire, it is quiet.
A grassy square with little more than a playground, a gentle slope and towering chestnut trees, it's a civilized ...
