It's all about the experience
By LeAnna, 7/30/12
I have wanted to have a meal in the Space Needle Restaurant from the time I was a kid. Today I finally got that meal. We did brunch at noon and the weather was picture perfect. The food was great and we knew it was pricey going in. But when you deduct the price of what the elevator ride alone to the observation deck would have been from the final tab, quite frankly, I'd say it was very reasonable. This isn't Mc Donald's after all. You get a view, you get an experience. Very happy.

space needle on my birthday!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/11
i had fun with my cousins and my brother on the space needle and it is my best birthday ever!!!we played and looked at seattle and mount rainier on the observation deck.we bought some stuff and went home and we played at my house like video games and computer.then they left.my brother wanted to see Harry potter the exhibition but it was to much money.the space needle is my favorite tower, and it was my cousin 1(Brandon)`s first time on the observation deck.those were good times.day after that I made my space needle model.me and Brandon both got balls that light up.cousin 2(Devin)got a robot keychain.i got a space needle compass plus thermometer.Brandon got a space needle coin.ej(my brother)got a robot magnet.we all wanted to go again.we went to the observation deck for free because my old freind`s dad is a security guard at the space needle.and that is my story.

The food was good and the view is amazing I love Seattle now that I bought a car that glides through the rain. I heard that I have to try this restaurant and finally I gave in and I am glad I did.

Worth your time and money
By M, 10/29/10
I went ahead and booked a lunch here. I was visiting Seattle for the first time and I felt that the space needle is worth our time and money as would the Eiffel Tower, Empire State building etc.. The resturant gets booked fast, I advice you to book a week or more in advance for dinner. You can still try to show up and hope for no shows, they give you beepers and beep you if or when your table becomes free. My observation is you would get a table eventually. So I booked a lunch on a monday. There were power lunches, Birthdays and Faily get togethers going on. The ambiance was nice. Not formal at all, but upscale casual seems to be the dress. The food was really good. Although they do not offer a vegan entree, the vegetarian entree was excellent. There is a $35 per a person min for Dinner and $25 min for Lunch. IF YOU GET MOTION SICKNESS ,TAKE DRAMAMINE BEFORE !! I did, and boy, was I glad I did ! All in all I recommend you budget this into your trip. The views are amazing ,the food and drinks are great. The service was exceptional. Did I mention that the restaurant goes around 360 Degrees ? So you get to see all of Seattle !! It revolves !

Great Food & Staff and #1 View in Seattle
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/10
My husband and I dined after dark, which is when the view of the city lights is the most stunning. We started with some appetizers, including the Dungeness Crab Cakes, and the Grilled Rustic Flat Bread with goat cheese and pesto, followed by Grilled Wild King Salmon and Seafood Fettucine. They were perfect. The scallops were butter-tender. My husband said the salmon ranked up with the best he’d ever had. We were too full to try the desserts, but while we ate dinner, we saw some dramatic, huge desserts that passed by our table. We really wanted to try one of them, but just had no room. Dinner guests get to go up to the observation deck at no charge. Here’s something new – they’ve solved the problem of having guests’ Seattle view photos less than perfect due to weather. You have your photo taken in front of a green screen downstairs, then upstairs you have the choice of different great shots to be in, and a digital image is produced that you can e-mail right from the top of the Space Needle. There’s no charge for this. They also added a bar for the adults and a deli snack bar for the kids. I’ve been to the Space Needle occasionally throughout the years, but my most recent trip showed a number of delightful changes that now make this place undeniably the ultimate do-not-miss Seattle dining experience, definitely for out-of-town visitors, but also for us locals. There were so many new things to discover, that we asked, and sure enough, within the last couple of years a new head chef and new management were added. We’ve had out of town guests come in over the last few years that we haven’t treated to the Space Needle for dinner. We won’t omit this stop again.
