Where else can you admire a white alligator while the kids play with corn snakes? Full of fascinating creepy crawlies like boa constrictors, turtles, frogs, spiders and lizards, this unusual spot will fill an educational hour or two. Several types of reptiles slither in the "petting zoo," while more dangerous varieties are protected from direct contact. The knowledgeable staff welcomes questions and you'll leave this small, family owned operation with a new respect for our reptilian friends and their environment.

Highly Recommended!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/04
For just being a off-the-beaten track 'roadside attraction', this Serpentarium far exceeded expectations, especially for the admission price. As advertised, you can see up close most recognized top 10 venomous snakes (including Black Mamba, Taipan, and King Cobra(!)), plus many other exotic and rare reptiles: albino alligator, reticulated python, rare amphibians and monitor lizards, and an extraoridinary alligator snapper turtle. Handling some small non-venomous snakes is also included in the admission price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall very entertainig and educational, for both adults and children. This gem of an exhibit has a dangerous snake exhibit that rivals that of most major city zoos, including Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo (the Serpentarium actually has a more extensive collection). Highly recommended! (Michael and Terrel, July 31, 2004, Seattle, Wa)

Once-in-a-lifetime wonder!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/04
This is a world-class collection of snakes, tortoises, oxycoatl, alligators, giant crickets, six-foot monitor lizards and more. The animals are the lifetime collection of the owner; all donated after being captive "pets". They come from around the world, most of them I've never seen, and some never heard of, like the alligator turtle. Definitely NOT a tourist trap!
