Westfield Southcenter, Seattle

The bathroom stand up toilets did not have any side blinds and people washing their hands could look in the miror and watch people pee. I have been to this mall two times and this batherroom appears to attract perverts that want to get a peak. Today a man asked another man to leave or he was going to contact security. A couple of months ago when I was at this mall another pervert was in this batheroom.

The renovation is spectacular, very modern and clean. Wonderful selection of stores, there is something for everyone! The look of the mall is very high end, unfortunately seeing gang member walking by is a major turn off and it's not just one or two. The owners of the mall need to work on this, don't let these folks ruin your gorgeous mall! I know it's a public venue, but these guys are clearly not there for shopping purposes. Let them come back when they have renounced their gang affliations and aren't their to represent their allegiance to a criminal organization.

One giant mall has only one scooter. Worst, it doesn’t always work. When the elder and people with disability comes they have to wait for crazy for the scooter, either that or walk in pain if they want to explore the mall.

I was taken aback by all the Diversity that the mall had to offer. no matter your age, size,weight, ethnicity... there is something for you. you can watch a wholesome movie, or play a wholesome videogame, or eat some wholesome shroom swiss and onion burgers from JOHNNY ROCKETS! The shootings can be a bit much... but I'm one for adventure! GO SOUTHCENTER!!!

I LOVE the mall after the remodeling. 2 or 3 floors, nice decorations, lots of stores, sunlight from the glass entrance, escalators, and good ol' ice cream from Baskin Robins (even though it is old). The bad thing is,even though the food court look great, the the food stores aren't bunched together and there are only 2 thru 5 food stores in the food court (I think. I didn't pay attention well)..The food stores are scattered around the mall and there isn't as much space to eat. I don't really like the Borders there because it isn't that much spacy (the old one next to Jo Anns is has more space). I wish the one next to Jo Anns was still there. What I do like about the Borders is the Manga section. When I was walking around Borders I saw gansters behind me and I heard a gun click (or I thought I heard). So I ran kind of fast to the toy store while I was scared to death. I looked out and I saw lots of gangsters passing by. Now I think the mall is getting kinda dangerous. I'm not sure if I went on the 23rd or 30th.

Despite the recent multimillion dollar renovation, the clientele are the overwhelming problem and the whole reason I refuse to shop here any more. The mall is gang infested, with increasing fights and shootings and even a double murder in the parking lot. It feels so creepy to shop here, I don't care if the new stores are upscale. If you want a nice mall with a really good vibe, take the time to drive to Bellevue Square. You'll feel a lot safer.

Police said an argument Wednesday night between two groups of teens and young men broke out in the parking lot outside the mall's north entrance near the Johnny Rockets restaurant. The fight escalated until one person pulled out a hand gun and fired more than eight times, hitting a 21-year-old Seattle man. Police spokesman Mike Murphy said the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to recover. Several exterior store windows were shattered and vehicles nearby parked were also hit. Inside the mall, meanwhile, the sound of the gunshots unleashed sheer panic among shoppers and employees. "I heard 'pop, pop, pop.' Everyone got down. I got down," said one witness. "Scariest thing that ever happened to me," said another.

Pros: Very well decorated, facilitated, and clean. You have shops at every corner in a sort of European style. The signs are not loud but very beautiful hang over the store entries. The variety of types of stores is incredible; anything ranging from Nordstrom to a music store. Cons: Horrible parking. There are a lot of people and very few parking spaces available. And as with any large department store--cheaply made clothes and merchandise are sold at ridiculously high prices. ($850 for a sweater? with 40% polyester? What?)

i loved everything about southcenter mall!!!! its cool that u guys have a libary in the mall that rocks...... i havent seen it after u guys remodle it... but i bet its even better than before.. i cant wait to go back thats were im shoping for christmas..lots of good sales and i want to go to the apple store to by me and ipod and more..

A nice atmosphere and layout. A wide variety of shops and a great food court; in a safe area as well. A pleasant place to shop or just kill time.
