Costume/party shoppers wonderland
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/05
I love this store. This is a one stop shop for holidays, parties and costumes. They are super fast at returning orders and seem to keep the postage down whenever possible. I've called in two separate orders and they've been kind enough to find them both and ship them together. (Ok, I do live in the same state...and it was the same day!) I've had orders shipped that arrived the next day, not six weeks later.
The store is a bit warehouse-like, no-frills, but they have it organized into categories, so it's easy to walk the aisles and find what you need. They keep the holiday displays at one end in one room, so that it's fun to go and explore, especially at Christmas.
I have found specialty fabric here that I can't get year-around elsewhere. The people that work here are generous with their help and ideas if you are stuck.
The costumes range from simple kids' Halloween styles to elaborate expensive ones. You can buy a cheap felt hat or spend $75 for the really good ones.
Their website is pretty easy to use. They also have a print catalog.
The down side--They can't take returns on some items, such as feather boas (probably state health rules?) and trying to get into their parking lot is a royal pain. It's on an odd curve in the road, which can only be entered from one direction. I always have to go past, turn around and come back on the other side of the divider to get through it. I have heard it can be anightmare to go when it's busy at Christmas or Halloween, but I have never experienced that problem personally.
The store is near Northgate Mall, so it's not hard to find from I-5, if in the area.
