Scott's Bar & Grill
Scott's Bar & Grill a lively longstanding neighborhood spot is a step above casual, but it's not stuffy, so you'll feel comfortable stopping by anytime for a delicious lunch or dinner. Many of the regulars have been coming here for years. The diverse menu offers pastas, seafood and cuts of Certified Nebraska Beef. Try Seared Ahi Linguini, Cajun Fettuccini with Chicken, Fire-Grilled Chicken, Mixed Seafood Grill, Prime Rib or Grilled Lamb with Rosemary Crust.
Visited Scott's for the first time after reading some reviews. The 5 stars were spot on. Went on a Saturday evening and it was extremely busy. Do make reservations. On your first time visit you are treated to a complimentary portion of the Crab and artichoke dip delivered to you by the manager of the restaurant, Cameron Duncan,...very classy and the dip fantastic. Our waitress, Rita, was warm, friendly and always had a smile on as well as all of the other wait staff and kitchen staff. They really looked like they enjoy working there. We ordered a steamed clam appetizer and it was great. Then on to dinner. We decided to share a house salad and without asking, it was brought to the table on two separate plates each with dressing on the side...very nice touch. The entrees we ordered was the Salmon Oscar and the Chicken and asparagus fettucini. The fettucini was excellent and the Salmon Oscar was to die for. It was an extremely moist salmon fillet on a bed of mashed potatoes, topped with sauce. The asparagus was perfectly steamed with a nice crispness. I watched the chef spend the time to make a wonderful presentation to each dish he prepared. Though we could hardly move after the dinner, we broke down and ordered dessert. We ordered the Pear Bourbon bread pudding to share. It was topped with ice cream and the bourbon sauce on the side. I thought I'd gone to heaven. Just so you know, they have no wheelchairs or stretches to take you to your car afterwards! Scott's is a bit pricey, but ever penny worth it. Other reviews mention the noise and it was noisey, but we had no trouble at all conversing with each other or our waitress Rita, and when you have great food, staff and atmosphere, it's going to be noisey because it's packed with patrons. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return without a doubt!
