Beautiful but Disappointing

I visited Berkeley on Friday 9/30/05. It was by no means close to Williamsburg, VA where I had been vacationing but it was still close enough for a visit. The history of the plantation is just overwhelmingly tremendous and was the highlight of the visit. The view of the James River from the long quarter mile terraced grounds in the rear was indeed awesome. My disappointment was in the fact that once inside the 3-story house you only get to see the 1st floor and the basement. Also, the exterior of the house and grounds appear to be in need of some upkeep and restoration. For $10.75 I just wanted more than what I got but it was still a beautiful visit.
