Description

Stretching along the banks of the Jordan River, this interesting International Peace Garden and park encourages visitors to consider the many cultures contributing to the prosperity of the Salt Lake Basin. More than 25 cultures are represented with statues, structures and garden plots. Visitors can stroll among windmills, pagodas and Viking tombs and pause for contemplation in front of statues depicting a preaching Buddha or Hans Christian Andersen. Learn something new about Utah. Admission is free. Call ahead for seasonal hours.

Slap in the face to Vets

I was at the event on sat where vets were honered. Then we were slaped in the face . The Salt Lake Parks flag was flying higher than the American flag we fought under. Thanks for the Honor Salt Lake. City Ut. Aug ,21st was the event date.

Very Nice

I've been here several times. It is a bit run down, but the gardens are beautiful, especially in the summer. Since a lot of people don't know about it, it's a great place to picnic and wander around.

Give Peace a Chance !

The front gates were padlocked, but access is available from the rear via a walking bridge across the river Jordan. The atmosphere on a cold winter day in January was peacefull, even if the individual countries presentations appeared in need of a little repair. I gather it must be very nice in the summer when the trees and flowers are in bloom.

Outdoor, free fun.

Its art, nature, and geography all rolled into one a nice walk into the world. with intersting displays for all countrys if you want to see the world in a glimpse this is it.
