Park City Historic Main Street, Park City

My wife's brother traded a timeshare for the Marriott Summitt downtown Park City. Very convenient to fly from Atlanta to Salt Lake City. Picked up rental car and drove to Park City which is a forty-five minute drive. Had a late dinner at Prime Steakhouse very convenient to resort. Day two visited cousins in Salt Lake. Took in a practice session of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and toured the State Capital of Utah. Very ornate built with Georgia marble. Cousin is V P at University of Utah so we got a private tour of campus. Dinner at cousins home and return to Park City. Day three was a beautiful scenic trip to Sundance Resort south of Park City. The brunch was delicious with a variety of food. Day four was a 250 mile drive to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons. Overnighted in Jackson and shopped til time to drive back to Park City. The Grand Tetons were very beautiful and snow capped. Some of the park roads were closed so we had to pick our way around. Finished out the trip in Park City and enjoyed walking around the Main Street area. Took photo's of the "Shoe Tree" which has a tradition of people throwing their shoes high up in the large tree. Excellent restaurants in Park City except VOOM. (over-rated). Great time had by the four of us.

One of the best things about Main St is it's a perfect place for a community event like Savor the Summit. This event takes place next weekend, June 19th with an outdoor dinner table from the top to the bottom of the street. Thousands of people eat dinner together in the middle of the street with free live music up and down the street. Where else but Park City?

I have been all over the world, at 17 years old, but my family and I have been going to Park City for 5 or 6 seasons now, and it has beat out every other place in the US and Canada! It's a half hour from Salt Lake Airport and has amazing skiing, spa, and food! Main Street is amazing, so many cute shops. If you are a skiier, Deer Valley is expensive, but luzurious and has amazing reviews and DOESN'T allow snowboarders, always a plus. I highly recommend Park City, It is my favorite place in the world (ok, it's second to Paris, but you get the gist)

I live in Salt Lake, but I have a second home in Park City and I spend as much time there as possible. Main Street is truely the #1 must see if you are visiting Park City. It captures the spirit and personality of Park City perfectly and the dining, shopping and gallerys are all fun for any budget.

main street in park city has a great small-town feel, but still has an appealing mix of upscale restaurants and trendy boutiques that have sprung up (presumably partially in response to the yearly influx of tourists for sundance). it's fun to just walk around this picture-pretty street and window shop.
