Red Banjo Pizza Parlour
The casual, even cluttered, space inside this Park City pizzeria makes it look like exactly what it is: a perfect blend of saloon and pizza parlour. Pizza is the top choice here, but sandwiches, pasta, salads and appetizers are available as well. The pizza is an old-fashioned favorite, with a crispy crust and huge amounts of gooey cheese. Not hungry enough for a whole pie? Order by the slice and wash it down with one of the domestic or local beers on tap. Take-out is available as well as local delivery.
Great food, great service, caters to the casual day, we came from skiing and had a frosty beer and a great slice of pizza with out leaving the main street mentality. I can see why it is Park City's oldest business.
The pizza was average and the service was below average. It is an OK place for a family with young children or larger group. The highlight was the cold beer.
I probably would go to pizza hut before visiting banjo again.
Growing up on a farm in Coalville Utah, I know fresh. The red banjo pizza establishment has the freshest cheese and the ripest tomatoes of any restaurant that sells pizza. The pepperoni's are as big as soccer balls. The people are friendly and the prices are uncomparable. If you want to pay a fortune for o.k. pizza then go to pizza hut. If you want to pay very little for great pizza then come to the red banjo. The red banjo is as traditional as the nutcracker. The sauce on the pizza has a special blend of herbs and sun ripened tomatoes. I am told this is a family recipe. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! Hooray for the red banjo.
I am sorry - I've never had to write a bad review....but this place needs to be fixed up a bit.
The customer service was awful. I waited for almost 4 minutes to be seated when there were a bunch of tables available. The employees were not friendly and seemed to busy with other tasks than keeping the customer happy.
The food was poor. I found a peice of plastic in my salade, and the pizza was ok. When I informed the manager of the store of the plastic in my salade, he didnt even apologize, not give a discount on the dinner.
Don't waste your time here! Although its the cheapest place on Main street to eat, 'you get what you pay for'.
There's a great atmosphere, great owners, and the juke-box actually plays a song when you ask it to. Oh, and it's the best pizza in Park City.
Another great about Red Banjo is the frosted mugs in which you can get your drinks, and the cheese bread is excellent!
