SeaWorld San Antonio
This wet theme park is a treat for anyone who loves animals, roller coasters and fabulous shows. Not only does SeaWorld San Antonio have Shamu (the performing killer whale), it also has walk-through habitats where you can watch sea lions, sharks, fish, penguins and flamingos do what they would do in the wild. For those who crave being a part of the action, there is an inverted roller coaster (do this on an empty stomach), along with a variety of water rides, where not a hair on your head will be dry after riding. Check out the water-skiing shows and the restaurants and be sure to stick around at night for laser shows and seasonal concerts.
I loved that they had Orcas there, thats my favorite animal.
But as far as the rest goes, Moody Gardens in Galveston has more in it than SeaWorld in San Antonio.
SeaWorld had no education talks before shows, its definitely a kid environment. I mean there was no id cards or any information anywhere about the animals, all there was, was shows, shows, shows....
For my first time going i expected more for my money...
Sea World at San Antonio was enjoyable on our first visit. We went in March which is a little soon for the park to be operating at full boar. There were alot of things still closed. One nice thing about going early in the year was smaller crowds. To truly have the full affect of the park, go later in the year. Also, one day is not enough to do half of the things, even going early in the year. I'd recommend a minimum of two days. If you have the time, three or four days would seem appropriate.
One thing that we found a little disappointing was the lack of animals. Sea World needs more animal exhibits. The local aquarium here in Denver has way more to offer than Sea World had to offer. Not a big downer, but a place where improvement can be made.
We only had time to see two shows; AZUL and SHAMU. AZUL was very entertaining. It had the feel of a Cirque Du Solei show. Very very nice show. Do not miss this one.
SHAMU was a little slow, but the best part comes in the end of the show when the whales demonstrate the power of their tails. Make sure you get seats that are close to the water. You will be amazed! Totally awesome power.
Overall, for our one day experience, it was great! Would love to go back for more.
I love Sea World. I just wanted to write a review about The SmokeHouse! We have been to many theme parks over the years and the one thing I hate is the food. This time we went to the Shamu Smokehouse and I was very suprised. They have the best smoked barbeque brisket, chicken, sausage, ribs, excellent side items, the deserts were amazing, watermelon, chocolate cake, strawberries and on and on! We had two sampler platters, chocolate cake and watermelon and this fed our family of four (drinks too!). $54.00 not to bad and we were STUFFED!
Also I highly reccomend the QUICK QUE that the park offers in addition to the ticket price. If you are going to spend the day in the theme park this allows you to skip all the lines for the rides. Several of the rides lines were easily TWO HOURS LONG. Its worth saving the extra money to zip right on a ride!
Well i love being there it was awesome seeing it all .My first time in any thing like that .The shows were great .Shamoo came up on the dry and we was sitting at the wet zone and i tell you what we got wet.My son was so wet he cried had so much fun there rides and the shows were great .
Custom service is horrible. I purchased an annual pass with EZ pay. I used the pass for one year, but they charged me for 2 years. It is a fraud system and stealing money from me. When i called the customer service and complained about it, I was hanged up. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The seaworld in San Antonio doesn't worth an annual pass. I went 3 times during the year and my kids told me that they don't want to go anymore.
We live in Las Vegas NV, and we drove 24 hrs to visit that beutiful city in the summer our seven day stay was awsome, wish we could stay longer, my kids talk about it every day we loved it we went to Sea World San Antonio 3 days and we loved it I bought the annual pass and "We can't wait to go back" In Halloween theres to much to do in that city.
i hated my trip to sea world this time. i've been to seaworld before the accident wen shamu killed his trainer...it was awesome! but this time it was rediculous u have to pay for everything! the water is 2.89 per bottle, never the less you can take ur own water....but nope u cant take drinks, food, the check ur bags lke crazy! my daughter eats lays chips so i hade some fun size packets in my purse they didnt allow me to take! they mede me throw it away!!
