Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Description

It just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The city's largest theme park now boasts not only the shows and musical reviews that made it popular, but also dozens of rides and a water park. Prepare for everything when you visit Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Each year the park adds new and faster rides, primarily in the roller coaster category. The water park expands exponentially each year, as well. In addition, the musical shows always manage to upstage what had been done previously. All of the shows are held at Lone Star Lil's in Crackaxle Canyon. Definitely an all-day trip, Fiesta Texas is a fun, but expensive, adventure. Admission varies depending on the season.

Waste of time and money
By ,
Went over spring break, big mistake the crowds were unreal. I expected big crowds but this was ridiculous. The place is filthy, bathrooms, rides, grounds etc. The employees were wearing t-shirts that asked the patrons to help keep the park clean, I guess that's because they had not intention of doing it themselves. Prices for food was high and the quality was low. Couldn't find a water fountain in the place so had to fork over 3.50 for bottled water. They will allow you to bring stuff in and if you are going I would encourage you to do so. Overall we were there 6 hours and my kids were able to ride 3 rides, not worth the money. Save your money and go to Disney, at least when you fork over serious cash you will get a quality experience.

Too Expensive and too much time....
By ,
The food was too expensive. Corndog with fries $8.00. Kids meals were also over $8.00. We had to wait in lines to get refills on our drinks for over 30 minutes. Waited in line for over 1 hour and 1/2 to get on rides. We got to the park at 11:00 and left at 9:00 and were able to get on no more than 8 rides. It's expensive enough to even think about paying for Flash Pass. Even though you would get on rides a lot faster.

Not what it used to be....
By ,
Pros: I'm 32, from Houston, and hadn't been to Fiesta Texas since I was a kid. Brought back fond memories of when we had Astroworld in Houston! The rides were great! Cons: There are a few. Went in a group of 3. The price to visit the park + parking, tax and surcharges alone are high enough. Almost compels one to opt for the season pass. But given we're out-of-towners, that's not practical. You'd think the food prices would be more reasonable ($3 Pickles, $4 Powerade, $5 French Fries, etc.)... C'MON!! If you try to maximize your stay by arriving early and staying late, you're forced to pay a premium for eats. There are no cheap alternatives. And most importantly, WHEN DID THIS "FLASH PASS" TOMFOOLERY BEGIN??? It seems it was designed to maximize profits, while making already long wait times in the regular line even longer so that more people fork over MORE $$$ for the flash pass! I understand business, but this is just highway robbery! And it cheapens the experience for everyone who doesn't pay extra for it. I remember a time when the rides were simply 1st come, 1st serve. And from open to close, you got to ride mostly everything by simply waiting in line. Now, the Flash Pass line MERGES with the regular line (taking priority), thereby increasing the wait time tremendously for the meager peasants who only paid general admission. In other words, use your light bill money to buy the Flash Pass, or spend the rest of your day BEHIND those who did, wishing you had. For instance, there is a posted sign for The Rattler reading "average wait 50 minutes". But factor in Flash Pass holders, now the wait time goes up to 3 hrs for everyone else. And that's NOT an exaggeration! 3 hrs for a 3 min ride??? Do the math! If I drive from Houston only to wait 3 hrs for every major ride, I'll ONLY get in about 3 rides over the course of a full day. Most of the time will be spent getting sunburned while waiting in line. Essentially, you're forced to pay EVEN MORE to get the pass, like my friends and I did (an additional $80). And that's the "REGULAR" package ($35/person)! There are 2 higher pckgs ($60 & $85/person)! The more you buy, the more you save, for groups of up to 6. That $80 afforded us the ability to ride 2 more rides than we would have otherwise, because the 2 higher premium pckgs STILL have priority over you. Long story short, unless you're prepared to spend $85 + gen. admission, the Flash Pass is not at all worth it, for you STILL end up waiting one way or another. MAN, I WISH ASTROWORLD WAS STILL OPEN!!! Not sure if I'll be doing Fiesta Texas again anytime soon, unless I can find a day when it's not so busy and can go back to waiting 1 hour or less for each ride.

VERY BAD....
By ,
i arrived at the park at 11 in the morning there was already people the securities were directing traffic and they were sighing us where we could park. I parked and all the securities were standing in front of the space. I haven't been to six flags since i was about 15 and now im 24 and wanted to take my kids. So about 4 hrs. Later i come back and my truck has been towed for not parking in an appropriate parking space. I paid 15 dlls. To park and the good for nothing securities couldn't tell me where i parked was the not a space cause it is not their job. So my question is what is their job?

Not worth it.
By ,
My family loves this park for the most part, but when it comes to customer service and security, the fun just doesn't outweigh the risk of going. They charge a small fortune to get into the park for one, the food and drink prices are ridiculous and the parking fee is a joke. They charge for every single car that comes in with NO security what so ever. Our car got broken into and all they had to say was, we're sorry, I'll take a report. There are NO cameras to help deter thieves and no real way to really keep them out. Oh and they added there are signs stating we are not responsible for damage or stolen items. It will be a very long time before or if we decide to go again! What am I paying the $15.00 for again????

if the park closes at 10 pm be prepared to stay a additional 2 hours. the traffic control is beyond and yet fiesta tx after all these years can not grasp how to control cars leaving the park.if a emergency arises there is no way out . a serious accident happened in the parking lot .

Great park!
By ,
My wife and two kids (18 & 9) when last weekend and overall, we had a great time and will be going back. First of all, I'll start off with the negatives and get those out of the way... and there weren't many negatives either. NEGATIVE ISSUE # 1 I purchased our tickets online through the park's official website and I was charged exactly what was quoted. After printing out the tickets at home + the discounted parking voucher (when purchased online) I realized that our parking voucher and MY particular ticket where one in the same. This created a small problem because when the parking attendant took the parking voucher, she also took my ticket. That being said, I had to get my ticket reprinted at Customer Relations. Not a big deal, but silly and this could have been avoided with a small tweak to the online process. NEGATIVE ISSUE # 2 When riding some of the BIG coasters, if you have any kind of bottled drink or bag/pack of any kind, you have to check them at the entry of the ride in a locker that costs a $1... and you can only open/access that locker once. After the locker is opened, you have to pay another dollar to get another locker. These lockers are simply there to temporarily hold your belongings until done with the ride. It's not a LOT of money, but with ticket/food prices already relatively pricey when considering a family of four, this was a lame money gouge. Those two things were really the only glaring issues. The folks at the park were helpful and the few questions we had with directions and what not were answered promptly. The food IS pricey, but c'mon folks... this is a theme park. Get used to it. They've always been that way and it will never change. For what it's worth, the food was actually pretty decent and the portions were good. Another pleasant surprise was how clean the park was overall. On the back of the park employee shirts was a message asking everyone to please put their trash in the bins to help keep the park clean, etc... and folks seemed to do just that. Now, the Flash Pass... GREAT PURCHASE and we highly recommend it!! Sure, it's not cheap, but it maximizes your time that much more. In a nutshell, we were at the park from 11:30am to 8:30pm and rode all the big rides... and some more than once: Poltergeist: Four times Superman: Twice Tony Hawk's Big Spin: Twice Bug's Bunny's White Water Rapids: Twice Goliath: Once Road Runner Express: Once Boomerang: Once In between that time, we also had lunch and also cooled off in the afternoon by spending 1.5 hrs. in the water park. Anyone complaining about how unfair the Flash Pass is needs to either buck up and get one, or find another way to spend your hard earned cash and quit complaining. I figure if you're going to be somewhere all day, you should maximize your time and squeeze everything you can out of the park. Finally, the "Superman" ride was TOTALLY INSANE!!! The best of the park for sure

If you have money you don't have to go to jail
By ,
well what can I say. I have had more fun in my own backyard. The flash Pass, give me a brake what a joke and just another way to tell america that if you have money you are above the law. They are saying That if you are Richy Rich youdon't have too wait in line like the rest of us, they make us feel like a lower class. beside when the park is overcroude and people with Flash pass getting in front make the rest of the people waste an hour on line. Imagine pay $40 to just be able to get on 5 rides from 2 in the afternoon until 9 pm that is a waste of time and comes out to $8 per ride. Six Flags is saying to America IF YOU HAVE MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO TO JAIL. wake up america Six Flags is sending the wrong message to hour future kids. It sounds to thet the big HUNCHOS are getting ready to retire and are cashing out.

Will Never Go Again To Fiesta Texas
By ,
The promotion was get in for kids price and they charged us full price and refused to refund the difference even though one of the managers said they would. The guest relations manager was a not nice person and really didn't care if we ever came back. Also, my child is handicapped and they gave us the wrong guest assistance card and refused to give us the correct one so that my daughter could go on the rides. We wasted so much time and money going to the theme park where the general manager doesn't care about anyone or customer service. We will never go back.

LOST AND FOUND !!!!!!!!!!!!!
By ,
hi every one my family and i have gone to fiesta texas for years and years ,, unfortunally we had never come across such a bad experience,, my son dropped his phone on one of the mets from the super man ride, we actually got a manager to look at the phone and he said that we would have to file a report with the lost and found and as soon as they got it it would be returned. Well it's been 3 days and i have called numerous times to speak to some about this matter and , have had no luck , have been transfer just about everwhere but still no luck. Today was just the day when i asked a representative to let me speak to a manager and she said , no she said she was the only person i could talk to , when i mention i was recoring her she hug up on me imidiatley,, the reps name was ' kathy' i just think that the customer service they are providing us people with is just horrible. People please be careful and never drop anything on those nets. It would be easier for you to get to the moon than for you to get you belongs back!!!!!!!
