River Walk, San Antonio

Really, we had a lot of fun. It is more of a nightlife place. We did take a tour boat during the day that was really cool. We got to see some of the more historical places of San Antonio. Everywhere we ate was good :)

I visited the Riverwalk and it was very Beautiful! The temperature outside was in the 100's. Wear light colored clothing!

Although the Riverwalk is beautiful , the overall experience is not so good. Not much to do except drink, eat, & then drink some more, Great place if you are a drunk I suppose. The food is horrible, esp. at Boudrou's , way overpriced. Avoid all the Riverwalk restaurants, they are all bad & pricey, the best place we found to eat was at The Buckhorn Saloon, that was good & reasonably priced. Riverwalk is not a good family vacation spot with the drinking & a restaurant called Dick's Last Resort which in my opinion should not allow children in & really should not be putting hats on children which look like condoms, way too penis oriented for the kiddos.

I really enjoyed our time on the River Walk. Walking on the River Walk is free. We enjoyed looking at all the things along the way. However, be warned that if you are traveling with a companion in a wheelchair, tha getting on and off the River Walk can be very trying at times.Also this person felt somewhat intimidated as the sidewalk is narrow in places with lots of people even on an early Sunday morning.

This was a very nice place. My friend told me that the River walk had a stink smell but I did not smell anything. I thought is was wonderful, fresh, and peaceful.

Visited the River Walk for the first time today and absolutely fell in love with the place. It was such an unexpected surprise: so wonderful and enchanting. Walking by the water, looking at the intriguing architecture, seeing the ducks in the water and dining at a wonderful restaurant by the water, I have to say that this made for a wonderful outing. Can't wait to go back!!!!

The Riverwalk best features were its walkways and boat tour along with some of the restaurants. The Alamo and other shops were in close walking distance and worth seeing. The landscaping could use some improvement. It wasn't quite as nice as I expected on the outside. There was lots of construction around the area and some graffiti near hotels on the outside. Generally, I enjoyed my visit but the customer service needs improvement and would have made it better. I found that the hotels and restaurant employees were not as friendly compared to when I've traveled to other places.

I just came back from meeting my boyfriend in San Antonio since we live far apart and what a surprise. The purpose for visiting was to attend a George Lopez concert but the town was breathtaking! The Riverwalk was such a delight, we took a riverboat tour which was so much fun and it lets you see the whole river. You can walk along it also and eat at the many nice restaurants. I would definitely recommend this to all. Shops, restaurants and hotels are all lined up against the river. I will definitely want to visit again, BUT not in summer time, it was way too hot, we had to make it a point to keep hydrated. THIS IS A MUST SEE!!!
