Quarry Golf Club

The pictures don't do it justice....The view of the Quarry is Amazing !...The Quarry Golf Club is my new favorite golf course. If you're in San Antonio or even close by you need to experience this course....

Played the Quarry club on 3/28/08 it was a fun experience (partly becuase of our group) backup on several holes was quite long. The course was in so-so shape. Several holes on the back nine were badly damaged by water. Some greens were great, others were just okay. I've played much better courses in the San Antonio area for less money. I actually scored extremly well, but I can still on give it a B rating. Good but not great.

From the time you pull into the parking lot, to the final putt on the 18th hole, you will just be in awe at the beautiful scenery and well-kept grounds! Are you from out of town and would like to play, but the significant other needs something to do? Well, there is a huge shopping center and theater just blocks away! I'm a recreational golfer still working to break 100, but this course is definitely a lot of fun for any skill level. The entire course is very well maintained. There are quite a few hazards, from water to the towering cliffs lining some of the fairways which makes this course a bit challenging. But, if you are looking for a course that gives you a great bang for your buck- the Quarry is IT! One little tip though- if you plan on going in the summer, if at all possible, start on the back 9 because once the day starts getting warm, it gets pretty hot in the lower levels of the back 9.
