I just want to say I love Formosa Garden. The Sushi is wonderful and we had the best waiter in San Antonio. I think his name was Chris. I will tell everyone to go in for great food and wonderful service!
Being a military family, one of our first things to do when we get stationed in a new town is to find great chinese food. It took a year to find Formosa Garden but it was worth the wait! This is the best chinese food I've ever eaten.
Just outstanding on everything. If you become a regular customer, the manager (owner) will greet you with a hearty handshake and later stop by your table and chat awhile. Food has always been tasty and served within a normal wait period. And, they just recently got the "Blue Plate" award from a local TV station that checks out restaurants at your request. Very nice place to eat out!!
Formosa Gradens is like home. The service is quick, yet friendly. The sushi is the best in all of the San Antonio area. I have been there over 10 times in the past six months and have NEVER had bad service. My boyfriend and I had our first date there and visit almost weekly becuase of the delicious food, superb service, and friendly atmosphere.
I have to say Formosa Gardens does have the best service. And if your not receiving quality service the owner is normally always there, and he will come to your table and fill your drink ect. He run's a tight shift, and that's part of what I love about Formosa.
The food there is great, it has your basic chinese plates, but it also has eccentric food's. And I here the best sushi in town (I don't like sushi, so I really can't say.) But over all a great place to eat and doesn't break the bank at all. I do recommend Formosa to all my friend's and family visiting from out of town.
I love everything about Formosa Garden, they have excellent food, great soup and their prices are great. I go there at least twice a week and when I am sick or under the weather I grab a bowl of the Hot & Sour Soup to go.

Just around a bend in the River Walk lies a sprightly little restaurant that isn't sure what it wants to
