Moody Gardens is a picturesque entertainment complex off the West Bay. Established in 1983, it continues to provide education and a living to persons with disabilities. Whether you're on the island for business or pleasure, explore the plethora of experiences it has to offer. The Rainforest Pyramid is home to over 1,000 endangered species of flora and fauna from forests across Asia and Africa. Get up close and personal with Saki Monkeys, macaws and exotic flowers. Aquarium Pyramid is an ode to the Pacific and Atlantic with penguins, seahorses and sharks encompassing the tropical array. Enjoy an astronomic and scientific expedition at the Discovery Pyramid, or the latest blockbuster at the IMAX theater. Laze around on the sandy shores of Palm Beach, Texas's very own paradise complete with a wave pool and river. The pyramids are an oasis of fun and relaxation.
I would have enjoyed this place much more. If I hadn't had to pay as much as I did ! Going through the aquarium, all I could do was think about the price. That I couldn't enjoy myself ! And wondered to myself how was I going to afford to do anything else with my children ? We couldn't afford an airplane ride, that I hoped I could do as a present for my daughter's 15TH. B-Day. So I decided we'd do this, so all that came could do something ! I know the fish need to be fed, but geesh!
Excellent facility. I have been to botanical gardens all over, but Moody Gardens is one of the best I've seen. Great value on the day pass where you get to see more than one exhibit! Hope to go back soon.
The pyramids are beautiful and we had a great time. It's a little pricy but my kids
loved the beach and the aquarium pyramid.
We all enjoyed moody gardens and learned many things as well. It is an amazing experience.
The pyramids especifally the so called dicover pyramid were a great disappointment.
What a rip off. It should not be called Discover .. simply call it "little sound experiments for kids". I recommend you don't waste your money on any of the pyramids. What a waste!
Moody gardens is a very nice hotel, although not on the beach may disapoint some people, but the beach is only right down the street. The place looks great, has its on beach, aquaiam, 3d theatre, some really cool stuff to see, best pool in galveston, BUT, the service is really bad, its like motel 6 service at a 5 star hotel, my last trip there the hotel boast heated pool, I call ahead to make sure because it was spring time, got there and some employee decided to turn off the heater, the water was freezing, so needless to say my day at the pool was shoot, then no waiters around the pool bar to take your order,,,,, cool hotel, bad service, save your money , get a cheaper hotel and visit the rest galveston has to offer
Palm Beach was nice and clean, well staffed. Yes, it is smaller compared to other waterparks, but thats what i like about it. I felt more comfortable letting my kids play without me having to breath down their backs. (like i do at the big waterparks) -- ideal for young families. Nice umbrellas and chairs in the sand at no extra charge.
Got the 2 day pass and was able to visit all attractions. All of the staff was courteous, very impressed with the level of customer service we recieved.
The grounds are kept up very well, every square inch is beautifully landscaped!
Thanks for a great weekend MG! Will def recommend and visit again.
( firm believer in attitude is everything, cant believe some of the negative reviews i read.)
