Good fun
By Sapna Khanna, 05/25/09
We've been here several times. We like to take visitors to Houston here - they always enjoy it esp. the first time. Its about a 30 min ride from Houston. Its not snobbish at all, infact even the clubhouse can get loudly enthusiastic during a race, but the upside is if you're with kids, they will have a blast too (I dont mean ofcourse that they have anything to do with the betting!). Makes for a fun, casual evening out. The food is good & the cost is reasonable provided ofcourse you dont bet a lot! Will go again & would recommend it.

Always a good time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/07
Was well worth the money. The pace is fast, no time for boredom. I have gone to the track for many years. Was there in 08/13/1996 when Graceland Blaze broke the track record. Love it!! I do wish they had not closed the clubhouse, but even with that the best dog track I have ever been to. I have been to many!

Gone to the Dogs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/07
This facility has REALLY gone to the dogs since its heyday in the mid 90's. The Horizon Clubhouse is closed and the food/service at the Terace Clubhouse is average/bad. I can't believe the track will remain open much longer. Gordon Wood is probably turning in his grave.

cheap fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/06
We had never been to the track and had a great experience. The drinks are cheap and the food is on par with other places, don't expect 5 star dining. The races do come and go very quickly so make sure you read the program to understand how to bet and what to say to the ticket taker. Between drinking and trying to decide how to bet, the night flies by as fast as these dogs run. If the weather is nice, you have to go outside on the patio and watch the dogs run, you can hear and feel the speed. Overall, go for the exctement and the people watching (you see all types). It's a fun, cheap night.

Good Time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/06
We had a great time at the track. The clubhouse was nice and the food was great. The track was well taken care of. We enjoyed the dog races and we even won some cash. We will be back.

We had a blast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/06
The track is very nice and huge. We sat in the clubhouse then went outside to watch the greyhounds race upclose. The races come so fast together, about 12 minutes apart, that we actually missed out on a couple. It was pretty exciting and we won some money thanks to Terry, the nice betting instructor who stopped by our table. The food was better than expected and beer was only a buck on the Thursday night we attended. It's a fun night especially with friends.
