The Grand 1894 Opera House is a city institution that has survived hurricanes, years of neglect and yet shines forth as a gem in the Opera scene. The Grand hosts events ranging from children's choruses to operas to band performances and lots more. This 1000 seat, historic opera house is also available for receptions, recitals, private parties and more.
Everything about this place is so extraordinary. From the moment you walk in and see the steps and the carpet, you can just feel the history. It's very realxing and the second you step off the street you are transformed into a different time period. We sat on the third tier for "Smokey Joes's Cafe" and the view was wonderful. We saw "South Pacific" on the first level and it was equally as impressive. We will definately be regualr viewers.
