Wow! Talk about excellent West African food. Or should I say Sierra Leonean (Salone) cuisine. It was very tasty. On my visit there, the owner recommended a combination of stew and potato greens. While I must admit the chicken was a bit tough (then again, chicken breast often is tough), the stew and greens were my absolute favorite. You will not go hungry eating. Both the stew and potato greens sat upon white rice. The greens were cooked with onions, palm oil, and a slight hint of peanut butter. The stew was made from tender onions and tomatoes. Next time I am in Hyattsville, I will definitely stop by there.
i have been getting my food here for about three years. if you are looking for a fancy place, do not stop, but the food will put the best looking places to shame. i loove the egusi, the fish stew, the spinach stew. the cooks are wonderful people and i recommend this to people who are looking for some down home good cooking.
