The course that Arnie built...
By Pat, 04/11/06
The Golf Club at Fossil Creek is a par 72, championship design with a variety of challenging approach shots and plenty of water and sand-traps guarding Bermuda greens. I have probably played about 50 rounds there. What is often under-regarded is that Fossil Creek is an Arnold Palmer Signature Course! It is my understanding that "Signature Course" means Himself designed it. So, 'nuff said about the track layout. If you are picky enough to turn up your nose at an Arnie design, happy hunting! (BTW, I hear he drops by from time to time.) Still though, the high handicapped golfer can enjoy the course as well. While it is challenging, it is not terribly penal. You can recover easy enough from poor shots in much of the course. The service varies but is always adequate and the value overall is worth mentioning. Over the years, the G.C.F.C. has offered some of the better values for local golfers, including an established golf club with affordable membership fees.

A Thinker's Course
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/05
Fossil Creek is a beautiful layout. The creek running through it makes you think about positioning your ball in order to avoid big numbers. The GPS was a tremendous help. It's the kind of course you immediately want to play again.

You Get What You Pay For
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/18/05
The Wednesday special is incredibly priced and makes this worth the time. The course has a really interresting layout, although the maintenance on it can be a little iffy. Can make your tee time on line which is a plus if you are looking for a tee time and the pro shop is already closed.
