Owner/chef Tony Fukushima brings his experience from Benihana, Beverly Hills to trendy Arlington. He surely knows how to entertain guests through his cooking. The restaurant is children-friendly and the service is fast. Meals at Hibachi 97 include succulent grilled shrimp appetizer, your choice of meat, soup or salad, rice and grilled vegetables. One must try the tender filet mignon, the sesame chicken or the sirloin steak. Sushi rolls are worth being ordered as a side dish. Desserts include green tea or ogura(red bean) ice cream. Domestic and Japanese beer, sake and Japanese wines are available too.
Oh my gosh!!!!! This is the best place I have ever eaten before. This place is wonderful. As soon as you come in they greet you and they seat you and ask for your beverage choice. Then they bring you the salad, and get your order. The ginger sauce is the best one!!! We go there almost 3 times a week. They chefs are very nice and ready to attend your requests. Best place to eat! Guaranteed!!!
My co-workers and I visit Habachi regularly at lunch, on our last visit the chef dropped my shrimp on the table and scooped them up and placed them on my plate (OMG)! We were all in shock, I handed my plate to the waitress when she came over to refill my water. The manager never came over, I saw him speaking with the waitress and go into the kitchen, I guess to speak with the chef. I sat there and drank water while my co-workers finished eating. When it was time to leave I was given a check for $1.80 (not a lot of money, but the princile of the matter). I told the manager I would not pay this check and tried to explain what happened before I could finish he said, very rudely OH, NO! we need to take this outside. I followed him and he began lashing out at me saying I was rude etc. I tried again to explain how the chef had dropped my food on the table and scooped up and put it on my plate and that I had not eaten and was hungry, had to get back to the office and my lunch would have to consist of something out of a vending machine, he was not trying to hear my complaint and continued to be rude adn unprofessional. I left humilated, hungry and upset. I will never go back and I have reported this to the better business bureau
since our two sons were 4 and 7 we have been eating at the hibachi in arlington, texas. It began with Hibachi 93 in south Arlington then they moved locations in 1997. It was because of the great food and the fun cooking experience of the chefs that we followed the restuarant to north Arlington. The food is excellent prepared with the freshest ingredients by wonderful chefs. Our oldest son is in the marines and when he came home on leave for only 8 hours he wanted Hibachi 97. His plane arrived at 9 pm and he had to be back at the airport at 5 am the next morning. Hibachi thanks for staying late for us to enjoy our time together and our dining experience. the whitmore family, arlington, texas
They are more affordable than other Japanese restuarnts, because of their Early Bird specials. They have buy one meal and get one free including a free fried rice which is excellent. You'll get the same service and value at any other resturant at a cheaper price!
