Shakespeare in the Park
Two Shakespeare productions take place annually at this outdoor amphitheater in Trinity Park. The Allied Theatre Group, which stages the bard's work, also produces various plays throughout the year. The park accommodates 1,000 people, and you will see patrons gather for performances on large blankets and in lawn chairs. Trees abound throughout and park, surrounding the stage, providing a natural setting. The park can fill quickly, so bring a picnic and come early to get a choice spot in front of the stage. Performances are nightly during the summer season.
A nice way to while away the afternoon watching good performances from repertoire group.
- good classic plays
- excellent singers
- good performances
- donations or souvenir accepted
- 2:30 start time is kind of late
- much too windy at the Presidio
