I have had lunch and dinner numerous times at Aida's. All of the wait staff are friendly and competent; I was able to have food that was healthy but interesting. I enjoyed great salad and soup or soup and half sandwich at lunch and terrific fish and vegetables for dinner -- and then be tempted by chocolate bread pudding for dessert. I also enjoyed the suggested wines with meals.
I also enjoy the atmosphere between the management and the employees -- one of respect and appreciation of work well done
Shoddy decor, poor food and wine and slapdash service. On a recent visit, we suffered foul smelling fish, gummy pasta and tasteless, over cooked, industrial strength chicken. For the rather high prices, one should receive very much better.
My wife and I thought that we would try this place out during the Howard county restaurant week but we were sadly disappointed with the quality of our meal. She choose the Salmon filet from the limited restaurant week options which turned out to be a VERY small portion I would guess to only be around 3-4 ounces in weight and a bit on the dry side. Instead of going with the limited menu options, I chose the Shrimp Scampi over linguini. I don't think that I have ever had shrimp that were as tough and chewy as leather! Our overall experience was soured with lousy food preparation and portion size that didn’t match the high cost of our meals.
If you have the chance this is a do not miss place. Awesome food, great service, wonderful ambience. The menus changes with season, super fresh super high quality. High quality wine lists, riedel stems the whole nine yards.
The warm caprese bruschetta supreme was a great combination of foods that tasted incredible I also was lucky enough to have the andouille sausage, shrimp and smoked gouda stuffed ravioli. ENOUGH SAID. Was probably the sing best Ravioli dish I ever tasted. The creole mustard cream sauce was heavenly.
Again this is a do not miss place
12 - Oct - 07. Watch out and ask the price. A small veal was $40.00 and a scoop of rice was $18.00, pasta with bread balls was $17.00. The cheese was kraft dust. The only redeming thing was a attentive waiter. No stars.
