Frontiers of Flight Museum

Description

Frontiers of Flight Museum is an assembly of artifacts celebrating the history of flight. From Leonardo Da Vinci to the Space Age, each display is carefully organized to provide in-depth information on aircraft history. Displayed artifacts are on loan from the University of Texas at Dallas' Collection of Flight, one of the largest aviation archives in the country. Display highlights include one of the first aviation licenses issued in the U.S. and the largest unburned piece from the Hindenburg, a radio operator's stool. Additional sections include women in aviation, lighter-than-air flight, commercial airliners, personal and business-style aircraft, airplane racing and an overview of Love Field airport.

Great For All Ages

Highly recommended for the entire family. Kids ages 2 and up. This museum is fun educational and very interactive. Never much of a crowd on days I have attended.

Best Museum in DFW area!!!
By ,
This museum is a must for children of all ages. If you have an interest in Air & Space travel - there is something for everyone! The museum goes from jet planes to Apollo capsules. They have the Apollo 7 on display, and will be adding a Moon Rock to their collection in October 2005. The exhibits are very well done, and the museum is associated with Smithsonian Institute. The museum has a great lecture series that includes pilots, astronauts, and scientists. Check it out today!
