Emeralds to Coconuts
Eclectic shoppers will quickly discover a new home away from home at this unique shop. The shop specializes in 'culturally enriched' unisex clothing, including such quirky items as kinky chapeaux, peasant blouses, woven vests, concho belts and Turkish sandals. Many of the clothing items are imported from Guatemala, Indonesia, Turkey, India and China. Also within the quaint store, you'll can find jewelry, puppets, masks and various other eccentric tidbits.
I loved this unique little store. They have so many interesting things that you would not see at the Mall. I found the salespeople to be very helpful in finding my size and the type of items I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for all natural and eclectic clothing and great gift items.
I, too, have shopped at Emeralds to Coconuts for years. They have so many things (a lot of ethnic and handmade items) that you can't find anywhere else and it's different every time you shop. I take out-of-towners there for a unique experience and no one has been dissappointed. But, if you are expecting a "mall" experience, you probably will be disappointed -- that's the charm of the place -- it's not your average store.
I have shopped here for years, and found good prices and items you can't find anywhere else. They have a great collection of natural-fiber clothing, like flax and linen, and also some interesting fashion-forward items. There's a reason they've been around so long -- give them a look if you are in Dallas.
these people don't return phone calls, don't take merchandise from vendors, don't treat customers with respect. they should be ashamed of themselves. the only thing truly ecclectic about this place is the owner, who is never there.
Some of the help is rude! They don't like to stand behind what they sell. I had bought a lot of things there and spent a lot of money, I returned one top, that faded a lot when I washed it in cold water for the first time, they made me feel very uncomfortable and I practically had to fight for a refund, which , by the way they would not give me, I had to have a store credit, which I used immediately, on things I didn't need, so I would be done with them and not have to go back! Bad business. There are many stores that sell Flax and such.
