Ahab Bowen

I have been to vintage stores all around the U.S., and have yet to see the quality clothing like that in Ahab Bowen. Their racks are always full, but not overly full so that you feel like you're swimming in it. I have bought multiple dresses (their speciality), robes and blouses there, and have never been unhappy with what I've found. In fact, I can never manage to walk out of Ahab Bowen without four or five 'finds' in my hands! It doesn't have that musty smell that lots of vintage stores have, and the clothes are always newly washed and ironed. Any day you go there, Ahab Bowen has a different sale on certain colored tags (they have four colored tags; two are always on sale). The clerks are always real nice, and greet you the minute you walk in the door. I definitely recommend Ahab Bowen if you are in the area.

I had been wanting to visit this vintage boutique for the longest. Finally, I took the time to go out there. As a result I will be a regular shopper. Staff was very friendly as soon as I walked in the door. Although I didn't anticipate making a purchase I walked out with shoes and a shirt. 2 great finds! Definitely a must for vintage lovers. Very clean and quaint place to shop with awesome prices.

I love Ahab Bowen for its: (1) abundant stock, always clean, pressed and without later surprises; (2) cozy, visually-appealing, boutique atmosphere; (3) friendly service, no matter who is there; and (4) consistently-reasonable prices. They're not thrift-store prices, but they are below those of most, local, vintage shops. Hint, hint... Their ongoing, half-price-tag sales absolutely rock.

Ahab Bowen is the ideal spot for those of us who lust after the look of vintage but like to watch our pocketbooks. They keep all of their stock clean, ironed, and well organized, all refreshing characteristics for the less patient shopper. I love this store!

Going to Ahab Bowen is always an adventure...unlike your stereotypical second hand store, Ahab Bowen is well-organized and the clothes are in mint condition. There is a vast array of clothes and accessories from various styles and time periods, but I am particulary fond of their Asian items. When I plan my trips to this unique store, I always antincipate about what I will find and never forget to take a friend along.
