best store in texas
By Bill, 11/07/09
i've been shopping at cd source since they first opened. the store is perfectly organized. everything ALWAYS in the proper place. the employees are always willing to help you find what you want, whether it be by looking thru the bins for you, or checking on the computer. i've sold several things there, and always felt that i was treated fairly. ignore the negative comments here, and go give it a try in person. you won't be disappointed!

Favorite Music Store!
By , 05/04/09
I LOVE this place. It's where I most often go for CDs, and I'm starting to get many of my DVDs and posters here too. There's a wide selection of everything from CDs to movies to TV shows to posters. Plus, they always have some fun extra things you can buy too - pins, CD cleaners, etc. I have to admit that one reason why I love this place so much is the atmosphere is terrific. When you first walk up to the store, it looks like a sketchy place, but once you walk in, you know that you're in good hands. An employee always greets you with a warm smile immediately after you walk in, and they are always available if someone needs help. Every time I've been, the employees are in great moods and crack jokes that always make me smile. Also, they're always willing to look in their hidden storage if you can't find what you're looking for. There's always music playing in the store that gets people in the singing and dancing mood. And if you want to test out your used music before you buy, you're welcome to play them in the music players. And, to finish off, the prices are great. Their highest prices are what you would see as Target's lowest prices. If that doesn't tell you enough, you will just have to go see for yourself. :)

Keeps CD shopping an experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/08
Love the place! Too bad that people who criticize the place don't know the correct use of there, their, and they're. Maybe they can not find what they're looking for because they can not spell it. Visit everytime I am in town and will not stop anytime soon. Keep it up, Fella's!!!

Disorganized, Incompetent - Will not return
By A Yahoo! User, 10/11/08
I decided to give CD Source a try to sell back some of my CDs. They don't call you once the offer is ready, they put your CDs out for sale BEFORE you accept there offer, and they are completely disorganized and incompetent. I had to call them to see if their offer was ready. It took at least five people five minutes to find their offer for my CDs. Once I found out that they would only purchase some of the CDs, I asked for them back as I want to get rid of the whole lot or nothing. They then had to go pull CDs off the sales floor and peel stickers off my CD jewel cases. I was quite offended that they would sell my CDs before I ever accepted their offer! The store is a dump, poorly lit and dirty. I know it is no discount retailer or chain, but you'd think they would have a little more pride in their business and clean up the place a little bit and make it more inviting. I've been in the store before, but never purchased anything as I've never found anything I was looking for. Definitely will not visit this establishment again, nor would I recommend it to anyone looking to buy, sell, or trade CDs or DVDs.

Best Place to Buy CD's
By Ken, 03/03/08
I love old music from the 80's and 90's and this place allways has the CD's I am looking for. If they do not have it you can order it and it will be there within 3 days and will call you the moment they get it. I am probably seen there once a week buying more and more CD's and the people are very helpful. The selection is amaxing and they also sell used DVD's as well. THIS PLACE RULES!

good selection. just a lot of downsides too.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/07
CD source has a pretty decent selection of used and new mainstream releases at a pretty reasonable price, however, the fact that you actually have to go to the store almost makes the value not worth the effort. The younger employees are hit and miss (sometimes helpful, sometimes completely apathetic) but the older ones are just downright pushy. It really makes it difficult to have a positive shopping experience. Also, the place is in serious need of a decor update. The carpet looks like it's been there since 1950 and the place has a funky smell too. Pretty good prices, yes; but hardly worth the hassle.

My favorite CD store
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/05
The atmosphere is very relaxed and no one pressures you to buy anything, they simply ask if you need help and will go out of thier way to see if they have an item in stock. Probably the biggest reason why i love this store is that it has a huge used cd selection and movie selection. I have found almost every cd i've looked for there, and at a significantly cheaper price then other used cd stores. They're also willing to order cds for you. Much props to CD Source.

Not worth my time.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/05
The selection at CD Source is mostly so-so, and the atmosphere isn't great, but they pay more than any other store in Dallas for used CDs and DVDs. The downside to that is that they are VERY slow. I have waited as much as two hours while they sit behind the counter and chit-chat.

Try CD Warehouse for better service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/05
I have bought and sold there. There is a weird girl there who does a lot of buying. If Your in a hurry, go to CD warehouse. This weird girl talks too much and is real slow, as is the stores service. Avoid selling there and the weird girl.
