Ice House Cultural Center

Back to Dallas, TX Overview

The entire family will love this portion of the Deep Ellum Latino Cultural Center. The historic building location was the Southland Corporation's first 7-11 market store. With an eclectic eye for entertainment, this beautifully restored market's featured presentations have included Latino Literature Night, highlighting the reading talent of the Cara Mia Theater Company, the yearly Virgen de Guadalupe presentation curated by artist Jose Vargas, and dance by the Ollin-Tonatiuh Aztec Dancers. The Ice House depends heavily on funding from the city and private benefactors. Seating is comfortably assembled around the stage area so that everyone has a good seat. Admission is free.
