Gator's Croc & Roc
At Gator's Croc & Roc you can enjoy a Cajun lunch on the rooftop or sing along with the piano player after dark. Gator's has a fully stocked bar with more than a dozen different frozen concoction machines lining the back wall. The bar is large with a great selection of draft beers and every imaginable liquor. Upstairs is a more casual deck patio with picnic tables and an additional mini bar. Don't get too caught up in the great music or you might find yourself on stage singing a Jimmy Buffet song. Despite a Cajun theme, you'll find all of the American favorites such as burgers, nachos and great chicken fingers.
To begin my experience at this horrible place, my friends and I waited for 15min to even be offered drink OR menues... and it was not crowded at all (three tables total had customers). We had a table of 7 and a table of 15-20 came in 5min after us. The rude waitresses took their orders first and they recieved there food before us. When an hour had passed and the table of 15-20 all had their food and we still had nothing, we asked if we would get ours soon. The waitresses were incrediably rude and mean towards us. They not only forgot one order, gave my vegetarian friend the wrong salad with meat on it, gave us food we didn't order, but also put balcon in my dish. When i complained that I'm also a vegetarian and I would not have ordered this dish if I had known balcon was in it they became even more rude towards me. It was a horrible place and I left crying. If you want to be serviced fast by friendly people... never come here. It really put a damper on my Dallas experience.
I would love to write a real review, but my 20 year old daughter and I were not allowed in at 8:20pm due to a very, very strict age restriction. This was odd to us as they have a kiddie menu and the band was not to play for 40 more minutes. Have they never heard of hand marking? As we came on DART from Plano to eat and watch the band for a few minutes, (with absolutely NO INTENTION of keeping my 'child' around for the hard drinking that apparently goes on in this place!) ticked off cannot begin to describe how I felt! I gave a restaurant down the street my $60 (RJ's). For a Gator's type experience and a very good time I recommend Dick's Last Resort.
