This upscale bar has the feeling of a semi-luxury loft and apartment. It is often filled with young yuppie-types, both gay and straight, who plop themselves on the overstuffed couches and engage in lazy , casual conversation. Do not let them scare you off, Zubar is still one of the friendliest places in town. Be sure to also try out the food, which includes oysters, shrimp, chicken and sandwiches.

This place is good to dance if you dig hip music. Most of the music played I had never heard before. If I had it went from latin to Bejork. I thought DJ Jason style was original. The crowd was upscale, but fortunately the atmosphere was warm. I would go back. Jarie

A Dallas icon in the lounge scene.

This place has with stood the test of time having their eighth anniversary just recently. Bringing in international deejays monthly and staying ahead of pack providing global electronic music is the Zubar way. Definitely a spot to check out. Oh, and whom ever wrote that this place is a gay and lesbian bar is wrong, they just have a very diverse crowd that welcomes all.
