Butler Pitch and Putt Golf Course, Austin

My grandson and I played on it Friday, 20th of March 2009, and we had a nice experience. I have not been there since I was in elementery school and it's still very nice to play on. I met the grounds keeper there and he was very nice. I think his name was Manuel. My grandson loved it and I should have made more pars than I did. I only parred two. I had a chance to birdie three but was unable to do it. It made me realize that I need more practice. Overall, we had a blast. After we played the 9 holes we practiced about an hour on the putting green. We will definitely be back to play again soon. Thanks for so so many years of maintaining that small course of yalls. My first memory of playing golf was at the Butler Pitch and Putt. I would recommend taking your kids there if you want to teach them how to play golf

I am 56, and remember playing this great little course many times over the years. World-class golfers like Tom Kite, Ben Crenshaw, Rik Massingale and others (mostly UT alumni)can attest to the character of this small but great golf wonder. It is fun, yet challenging. I highly recommend this wonderful place! Steve G.
