A Main Street storefront cafe that's more about warmth than polish, Sugar Magnolia's flips buttermilk and blueberry flapjacks as big as Paul Bunyan's mittens and just as thick. But it's the moist, delicately spicy carrot cake version - aided by a genius three-in-one spread of maple syrup, cream cheese, and butter - that verges on the stuff of legend.)
Counter help not friendly at all, in fact most rude. When finally I was asked what I wanted and said that I was picking up a take out, she just turned away looking positively disgusted as if my very presence was an irritation. I ve been told the food is good, however, we did not find it so. The food was burnt outside and mush inside. In this economy, our after tax dollars spent at restaurants is a luxury and it would be nice that hospitality is not dead.
Sugar Mags is the best breakfast place I've ever eaten at, (I haven't had the opportunity to have lunch there yet) the service is friendly and excellent, very clean, the food is delicious, the art work is neat - good times
