my husband and I have been visiting family in austin for over 30 years, but we have never actually toured austin. we took the duck adventure tour and it was great! we were looking for something to do to pass time, and it was a great choice. although we were not able to go into the water because the levels were too high, it was still worth it. the guide, victor, was very informative and friendly. i would recommend this tour to others that are looking for a fun, quick tour, only 75 min.
A lot of my husband's out of town family are older and get tired easily, so this was a great way to show them Austin without the day being too taxing. Its great that they could spend time with our kids (who LOVE the water part) and see the highlights of where we live. We also have family from out of the country who all loved this tour. This is good for just about any time of the year.
My husband and I took our 3 year old on this trip and we all loved it!! I do admit that it was a bit long and a tid bit boring at first for a 3 year old little boy, but once the Duck hit the water he was in heaven. Our driver was wonderful and funny!! He knew all the sights and information on it. By far the best tour in Texas that we have ever had! You totally get your money's worth too!! We were expecting possibly a 30 minute tour like everything else, but were pleasantly surprised by the one and one half hours that it was. It flew by!! We will be taking family and friends as they come to visit!!! Would go back in a heart beat!
My friends and I started our girls' weekend on the Ducks, and it was great. Our Driver, Duane, was funny and knew the history of Austin.
We had a fun time quacking at the pedestrians around town, and on the lake.
I will be taking all my out of town visitors on the Ducks!!!
