Barton Creek Square Mall
Located along the outer edge of the Barton Creek greenbelt, this is the biggest shopping center in town. The major department stores are all here, including Nordstrom, Macy's, and JCPenney, as well as a multitude of boutiques and specialty stores, like Brookstone, Victoria's Secret, Nine West, The Sharper Image, Kay Jewelers, Foot Locker and tons more. With a large food court, several ATM machines, opticians, hair salons, a copy service and full security, the mall also offers a total customer service experience.
I recently received some of the Dead Sea products and have been using them myself. As an older gentleman, I find the masks and creams help keep my skin toned and refreshed. I recommend it to anyone as an alternative to cosmetic surgery.
I loved shopping there! I have been looking for a quality Dead Sea place that sells salts and other items, only in Barton Creek Mall I found a place like that. It is on the second floor by the food court. They are called the Dead Sea Escape. All of the products are actually from the dead sea! Most others are not!!! I loved the atmosphere and the clothing stores. They have the best clothes and shoes!
As of 2004, the Austin area only has three malls and an outlet mall in San Marcos and several strip mall throughout the city and metro area; competition is looming though. Barton Creek is one of the better shopping experiences in the metro today. Recent remodeling has update the look and feel of the mall with a slightly upscale edge (due to its proximity to Westlake Hills and Rollingwood). Nordstrom made its Central Texas debut in this mall, there is an Apple Store, Coach, Williams Sonoma, etc... here. Though its lacking in some stores such as Saks/Niemans nor does it have other stores such as Hollister and Co, Urban Outfitters, Z' gallierie, Forever 21, that you find in other big city malls.
I think this is a great mall, it has so much to offer and the food court is actually inviting for guests to eat and have an enjoyable time. The only thing I can think of to make it better, is to add on slightly with new stores. For example, stores that are offered at other malls in the area are: Van Hussen, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Stores that offer pet attire, ect...
This mall has it all from Nordstrom to Gap, from Pottery Barn to Banana Republic, from Dillards to Old Navy. This place is beautiful, fun, huge-sooo many stores and shops and a great food court. I just moved to Austin and I love this place!
"I think that this mall is a very nice, clean, relaxing mall, where you can shop and enjoy yourself. In the stores, the workers are great! They can assit you in anyway. The restrooms and stores were so clean and organized. I would recommend this mall to other travlers, traveling around here. The people are so nice and kind! I have never been to a mall this fantastic! (And trust me, I've been to alot all over the world!)
