Serving Austin since 1890, Scarbrough's was formerly located in Austin's first skyscraper, the historic Scarbrough Building on Congress. Originally a full-service department store, this family-owned specialty boutique now carries items for women only. Their inventory includes casual wear, cosmetics, shoes, jewelry, sportswear and after-five formal wear. This one-stop shopping site in the upscale Central Park Shopping Center is vastly preferable to a mall department store outing any day.

A pleasant experience

Scarbrough's is one of Austin's first department stores. My mother bought me a Chanel-type blazer there to wear on my honeymoon. When we went in, we received EXCELLENT customer service. The people there are very helpful and honest, ie, they'll tell you if something doesn't look good on you. If I had more money, I would shop there all the time. So if you feel like going to a place where you feel like the most important customer in the store, I definitely recommend Scarbrough's.

The Entire Store (staff included)

I modeled for two fashion shows, and the LEAP anniversary luncheon is of the two times. I enjoyed it very much, and would like to do more shows. Diane, is apart of the reason I enjoyed modeling, and shopping at Scarbrough's. My mother worked and modeled for Scarbrough's in their earlier years, and still shops there. Scarbrough's is a terrific store, filled with fabulous, stylish, and sophisticated clothing for women of all ages. And it is a wonderful place for Austin to calls it's own. Whenever I talk with friends about clothing stores, I always recommend them to Scarbrough's, rather than to a chain store in the mall, that sells cheaply made clothing, and also degrades the female body. If ever Scarbrough's needs a model, I will always be more than happy to assist. Diane has my telephone number to reach me, so please do not hesitate contacting me.
