Top of the Hub, Boston

After a magical evening in the city with my boyfriend, we headed over to the Top of the Hub to make the evening even more romantic. After leaving the show White Christmas early to get to the restaurant in time for our 10:00 reservation, we were told at 10:03 that the dining room was closed. It had to have been the worst customer service I have come across.

Go once just to say you went. Then never go back. It's got a nice view and a nice ambiance, but other than that there's not much else to see.

Why were people waiting in line for this place? We simply walked behind the line and got on the elevator and went right in. Thank goodness we did not wait because the service was terrible. The view saved the evening. Our waiter dropped us a wonderful appetizer of calamari and ignored our empty drinks. The food was nice until my girlfriend got the gnochetti; it was undercooked pasta that was not gnocci with canned tomato sauce. This is just a cool place to have a martini and some calamari with an awesome view.

I recently dined at Top of the Hub, and to my astonishment i was blown away! I arrived with an attitude of dismay, but upon sitting at my table with my family, all of those feelings were shattered by our server...Steve. He immediately arrived at our table with a welcome smile, and a very cheerful greeting. I was always told that the service at this restaurant was rude, and i have to tell you, if you had our waiter, you would be singing a different tune. He was very helpful with the menu, approaching our table it seamed, with just enough consistency to fulfill all of our needs.( my family can be quite demanding)...this did not phase him in the least. He suggested the tuna..delicious! also to start he suggested we split a salad and an appetizer of crab cakes. It was just enough food for me and my sister.I will recommend this restaurant, and this waiter to anyone who wants to have a good time.
