East 6th Street, Austin

I'm a UT student, so I go to 6th street every Thursday night. We are so lucky to have such an awesome downtown scene so close to campus. If you're just visiting, I highly recommend checking it out. If you're with a group of girls, you likely won't have to pay for drinks all night. And even if you do, prices are super reasonable, and all the bars have drink and shot specials. It's crowded and there are definitely some sketchy bars, but it's just a blast. Another note - don't wear your favorite heels, they will likely be scuffed and stepped on multiple times throughout the evening. While nothing is exactly like Bourbon street, 6th is definitely a close second.
