Go USA Fun Park
At this family fun center called Go USA Fun Park, you can rev your engines and take the corners in a super-fast go-cart or slow things down on the 18-hole miniature golf course. If you are in the mood for something more challenging, send a few balls sailing on the driving range. The video arcade boasts the newest and best video games and simulators. Wannabe baseball hall of famers can stand at the plate and try hit it out of the park.
Go USA is the only park of its kind in our area. We live about an hour away, and a couple of times it is definately worth the drive. We love the go carts, and the put put is a good course. Inside the arcade our whole family loves to shoot balls at each other in one of the games. It is really fun and not a bad value.
I recently had my son's birthday party at GO USA Fun Park. I found the fun park to be not only enjoyable but well worth the money. The party room is only 10 dollars for two hours and the staff let me come in early to decorate. I got discounts on everything including the pizzas, tokens, mini-golf, and go kart tickets. The employees were very friendly and patient with the children. The majority of the time was spent at the redemption counter where the kids picked out their prizes! The older kids loved the go karts and many parents enjoyed playing the miniature golf. There were other activities such as Bazooka Ball, batting cages, and a driving range I know my husband will be back to visit. One of my son's friends even won an IPOD out of a Stacker machine! I would highly recommend this park to families and groups looking for activities that everyone can enjoy.
The arcade isn't the cleanest in the world and there is a poor selection of the very few arcade games that they have. The go-karts were lots of fun! Nice track. A five and a half minute ride costs $6. We didn't use the batting cages, but, they did look nice. Didn't even see the mini golf. I don't recommend this place if it's arcade games that you're looking for, but, as I said, the go-karts were fun and the batting cages looked nice!
I have taken trips with our youth group to Go USA for years (more than I care to admit). In the past year or so I have seen an alarming trend of its employees. There seems to be little if any management on site and its hourly employees do not treat customers as they should. Our latest visit alarmed me as I witnessed one of the employees use profanity toward a young teenager. I also witnessed an extremely disrespectful attitude toward the entire group. One of the employees loudly proclaimed they "hated church groups" and barked orders very rudely to our teens. This of course provoked a less than respectful attitude from some of our teens (not excusable and they were reprimanded for it.) One employee who seemed to "be in charge" boldly proclaimed they don't even "go to church" but they know how Jesus said you should behave and "church groups never behave that way." This was an unprovoked comment which started the night.
One previous visit, one of our teens was reprimanded for breaking a light on the putt putt golf course which did not occur. This light was broken prior to our arrival. One of the employees attempted to "throw out" our teens because of this. You must understand this was a young girl who I have known for nearly 8 years and I know has never been in trouble. This young girl was caught in the middle of a false accusation and fear of what others will think of her for it. I offered to pay for this light even (though I know we were not responsible for it) to resolve the problem. The employee became very disrespectful saying that all teenagers there just do not care and they come in to "destroy the place".
One thing you must know- I can show you letters from no less than two dozen restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues commending this same group for superior behavior. These problems only occur at GO USA which leads me to believe there are some other factors involved here.
It appears from an outside point of view there is no leadership at this establishment. Young teenagers are given the responsibility to deal with very difficult circumstances. I assume they have tremendous amounts of trouble from teens and groups. These young people are asked to run numerous stations at the facility obviously understaffed and overworked. I hope this is accepted as constructive criticism from someone who has been here no less than a dozen times each year over the past 10-12 years. It is a good facility to take a group but please be aware that you are not "welcome" from the understaffed employees as you are truly more than they can handle. It is best to make reservations far in advance so they can prepare for your visit. NEVER just drop in or you will regret the visit.
Actually, we are getting ready to go there today. This will be our second time there. My kids love playing the arcade games. I spent 10 dollars and got plenty of tokens to play the games (1 dollar will get you 4 tokens) Many of the games only require 1 or 2 tokens.
The Mini Golf course is really cute too.
My kids loved riding the go carts.
I would recommend Go USA funpark because of the price and atmosphere.
Our school had a magazine sell and if you sold enough you could get to go to GO USA well..then we hopped on a bus and rode to go usa then we had a ton of fun we went and ate cici's pizza then played arcade games and we all got to golf and it was inexspensive !!..
Our Church Youth Group had a competition during Sunday morning class for several weeks. As a gift to the winning team, we let them choose where they wanted to go. They chose Go USA....AND LOVED IT! We plan on having a lock in there in the near future! It's a great place to take a large group with numerous things to keep them occupied. Thanks GO USA!!!!
I remember the first time I took my kids to Go USA Fun Park. They had a blast! My son didn't want to get off the go-carts. After the visit, my son looked up at me and asked... "Mommy, can we go back tomorrow?" I recomment this park to and it was worth the money (which wasn't that expensive)
