Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/12/11
Today we came to you center. We were so disappointed in our trip. When we arrived, after waiting a long time (only one person in front of me). I was informed that there would be an additional fee for parents to go to the planetarium program. I was not aware of this additional cost and very upset. I had made arrangements for this trip back in March. It seems to me that parents had already paid the $6.00 in advance and $10 at the door (and that was wrong also) with your code of ethics policy that I signed stating about having chaperones that you would be more than happy to have chaperones in the program. I was told that we could send in our 68 kindergarten students and the parents could wait outside. We did have a parent who came up and felt sorry for us and paid the difference in the amount $108.00 after we had just given you a check for $580.00. Last year our school came and went to two programs and the parents did not have to pay the extra amount. What happened we had a great time last year. *** And then we go to the Program. What a disaster! Technical difficulties and delays, delays, delays... You can ask the presenter if you don't believe me. We should have walked out and demanded a refund. The center was very very busy today and when I called back in March I was assured that this would be a Great Day not very busy. WRONG. Our teachers and parents were disappointed in this trip and I would not recommend your center to any of my coworkers or any teachers.

Great Place for young families
By Sandy G, 10/4/09
Great place for hands on experience in science. Definately a place for kids. 5 to 13 years old. Can be educational for adults as well.

Kids wanted to go back next day
By You know who, 3/26/08
Lot of fun things to do. Kids like to climb to the top, they need larger ways to go up. If I wasn't small I would never make it to the top. Have a section showing how having a handicap can be diffcult, but handicap kids wouldn't be able to visit this place!

Cumberland Science Museum - Just Okay
By Bubba, 5/30/06
The Cumberland Science Museum is fun for kids, but just an okay experience for adults. The St. Louis Science Center is 10x better. The video we watched in the theater was not high-quality. Overall, just an okay experience.

GREAT gift idea!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/05
I drove for a private school field trip last week - about 15 7th & 8th graders & adults in all - and we all enjoyed it VERY much. Even I was crawling (squeezing) through the heart and sliding down the slide with the kids and I enjoyed the train layouts since we are a family of model railroaders. The BEST was the lazer war between the Lymphocytes and Pathogens, though! I'm real excited about the new exibit that will be opening soon and want to be sure to enjoy it. I'm not sure who was more dissappointed when we had to leave, the kids or me! Our family is now considering a membership for ourselves as well as one for a gift for our niece. Thanks so much to all of you who do so much to make this experience possible for all of us.
