Great Park for the Price!!!
By db, 07/28/09
This park is perfect for summer fun. It is cheap and caters to both young and old and all those in between. They have lockers to hold your stuff, free floats and picnic tables. The lifeguards are friendly and plentiful! You are allowed to take coolers in (no glass), or leave and come back. Smoking is only allowed in one area. The restrooms were clean and they had nice changing rooms. I can not wait to take my children back! We are planning another trip in 2 weeks. They also offer military discounts. It is a great place and well worth the money.

not a fun place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/09
The lifeguards are very rude. Its over priced considering there's only 4 or 5 slides. The slides cut you as you go down and ruin your bathing suits. You have to worry about getting your things stolen because there's nowhere to put your items.

Great for the family. Go every summer! Fun atmosphere and reasonable prices help. Bring a picnic and make a day of it.

Old info. listed here!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/07
I love Wave Country! You cant beat the value for the fun you get. Very family priced. BUT the information listed here is very, very old!! Take note: the hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon-Fri until Metro Schools are out, then it will be weekends only. So call when its close to make sure. Labor Day weekend is the last days open for the season. AND the cost is $8 for 13 years and older, $7 for 12 and younger- 4 and under are free! PARKING is always free. Season passes are availale! A great time, and a great price!

it was wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/07
i loved it was very fun the new speed slides were awesome you go so fast down it the tower is 40ft. But you travel 80ft and there is this swim club in my town and they had a huge slide but the speed slides had to be like 3 times bigger. the staff are wonderfull and my little ones had a good time too. But they were scared of the speed slides. And the Atmosphere was excellent i would go there again it was the best time of my LIFE. i rate it an A+++++++++

Not Bad
By tnmikieg, 06/24/07
The kids had a great time. Lifeguards were a little lacking. Bathrooms were rough. Pools were clean. I wish they had a little more to do for younger kids but for the price it was a great value. Coolers are allowed.

If You're Not a Strong Swimmer, Beware!
By FL, 05/22/07
The atmosphere is great, the kids really seem to enjoy it. The price is reasonable as well. Keep in mind, that the staff is basically run by older teens, so don't be alarmed if you don't see many adult employees. I would not advise going to Wave Country if you or your children are not strong swimmmers. The waves are extremely rough, esp if you do not rent a floater. There have been deaths here due to the waves and the inability to see the water clearly because of the floaters, so please be aware.
