worst place ever
By Daniel, 5/26/12
This place has the worst service that i have ever dealt with. I will never go back. One of the employees actually tried to have a argument with me, not that this is surprising seeing that all of the employees and supervisors are all teenagers. I wasted my money and my familys weekend by going here.

Nashville Shores is Safe and Fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/11
I was at the park when the incident occurred that the previous contributor used to label the park as unsafe. Some "facts" were omitted. The "son" who was the aggressor was an adult according to Hermitage police who did respond to the call from the park and he punched a 13 year old child. The son and the family refused to give their names to park personnel and left the property prior to the arrival of the police however witnesses did provide details to the police and the park. I am a season pass holder and have witnessed park personnel and management handle many issues between guests at many times, always in a professional manner. I am glad they asked both parties to leave the area so we could enjoy our day at the park. I have also seen police officers in uniform patrolling the park many times so the "fact" that their is no security is untrue. My family will continue to visit Nashville Shores because we know it is safe, fun and secure.

NO FAMILY SAFETY HERE!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/29/11
Visited with family. Kids were in wave pool. 14 y/o was in rental tube next to left wall within 5' of lifeguard on wall. Another lifeguard in water less than 10 ft. away. Apparently my kid bumped into a young Hispanic male who starting verbally and physically attacking my son. My oldest son was nearby and grabbed the attacker by the arm. The attacker then proceeded to verbally assault my oldest son and then made a move as if to hit him. At that time my oldest son punched him in the nose. Only then did lifeguards get involved and somebody in a maroon company shirt summoned. The only action he took was to quickly listen to the story and tell both the attacker and my son that they had to leave. NO first aid offered to the attacker who had a bleeding nose, NO first aid or concern offered to my 14 y/o with scratches on his chest from the unprovoked attack. NO SECURITY present at all. Company personnel and lifeguards refused to give me their names even after reapeated request. We were simply told to take care of our problems outside the front gate. They would not even call Metro police for me. So, if you do decide to visit this waterpark, do so at your own risk and realize, nobody will protect your youth and when you do step in and protect yourself, you will be ejected from the park. We had numerous witnesses and even one lifeguard tell us they saw it all go down from the moment the Hispanic started yelling and attacking my younger son in the tube and they all told the same story that my oldest son had no choice but to throw the punch to stop the attack. I don't condone fighting at all, but if that is your only choice to protect yourself, then that is what has to be done. Only after this did I realize that THERE IS NO SECURITY ON SITE WHATSOEVER!! On top of no security, management refused to allow me to get any name from the attacker, and as already stated, blatently refused to give me their name. Once I got home, I called and was only able to contact a PR manager who stated he knew nothing of the incident and that "I havn't ever heard of any problems here". Obviously, if you refuse to make a report or call the police, and sweep any problem out the front gate, you won't be aware of any problems. I suppose if someone snatched your purse and ran, they would simply tell you to go chase them, your on your own. God forbid a child gets hurt here, there's definitely no concern for the patrons wellbeing or safety at this place. Sad excuse of a place that advertises to be for families. I'd rather walk my family thru the projects in the middle of the night than subject them to the lack of security and concern this company shows.

What a rip-off
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/11
My 6 years old was charged as an adult. $30.00 plus tax a piece for 4 water slides and one kiddie play area.Come on!!! Really. Burger with stale bread and burnt out meat is $6.00 and a small cup of fries is $5.00. Really???? And you can't bring even a tiny morsel of food or drink in the park. You must throw them away. If you don't want to wait for the complimentary inner tubes you can rent one for $6.00, and get $1.00 back when you return it. But the thing is, there are very few complimentary inner tubes available, less than 15 for the park. Believe me, I counted. Come on, at least fake it that you don't try to nickle and dime us to death. You'd be better off pay a little bit more for parks with more rides, and all you have to pay is to rent the locker if you choose to, and have plenty of inner tubes and safety equipments and personnel and you can bring in picnic basket. I've been to a lot of water parks. Will not go back to this one.

total rip off!
By Amanda, 7/18/10
rip off!! not much to do beyond a couple of slides you have to wait 45+ minutes for, and a very over, crowded wave pool. after spending close to $100 bucks for tickets online, still had to pay $8 in parking. then, had to pay $6 each (family of 4) for inner tubes (but wow, you get a whole dollar back when you turn them back in). a single drink was $3 and the food was much higher. VERY, VERY disappointed. do not be fooled, this place is not worth the $100+ you will spend on a family of 4. my 2 kids (13, 15) were very ready to go after a couple of hours and even they thought it was lame. and to top it all off, they don't even offer a map once you get there to see where everything is. even the zoo gives you a map with your admission... :(

Online discount a joke
By kimberly, 7/3/10
Buyer beware: if you were thinking of purchasing tickets online to get the everyone pays the kid's price discount, be aware that they add a $3 per ticket processing fee which reduces the discount to $2 per ticket and actually adds money to any real kid's tickets you are purchasing. Pretty sneaky.

UNSAFE UNSECURE WON\"T EVER GO BACK
By Concerned Parent, 6/1/10
There was a fist fight between guests on Sunday and there were fists flyings, punches swinging, kids crying, cussing like I've never heard and a little lifeguard yelling someone help me while no one came. What if there had been an emergency? I won't be putting my kids lifes up to the 15 year old lifeguards and complete lack of security

Tubes now cost $5.00....No locker rentals for season pass holders. Nashville Shores Daily locker rentals are the same as last year. $5 rental plus a $5 deposit. You will receive your deposit when you return your key. Are there tubes available for rent? A limited number of complimentary tubes are provided at all attractions on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rental tubes are also available if you would like your own personal tube for the day. Outside tubes or flotation devices are prohibited.

absolute hell!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/25/09
this place was horrible. the water park cost 24 bucks a peice plus 5 for a tiny locker with 5 dollar deposit. there was trash all around the inside of the park. i was informed that they tested their music city racer slide with an 85 pound bag of concrete, but you have to weigh 110 to ride. if there were to be an accident your life or kids life is in the hands of 15 year olds (no offense) on busy days expect to wait about 40 minutes per slide if not longer. the pools are filled up with people no room to really swim. we watched them pour multiple gallons of gas on a small bundle of sticks to get it lit on fire. on that note they also created a fire on a barge which we were informed they had no permit for. the place is a very unsafe place not just for kids but for adults as well. the only upside was the river boat cruise the captian was nice and it got me away from the place for 20 or 30 minutes
