Awesome Products + service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/09
Pool and spa depot was a very HELPFUL place to shop. E bought an above ground pool and hot tub. i had read the reviews on yahoo in the past and figured i would run into some trouble. that was not the case at all. there were a few delays in building the pool, but what do yuo expect it is a construction process. they called every time there was a delay. Daniel was our sales person and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. i would recommend pool and spa depot to anyone. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!

Best experience i ever had spending money
By Tom, 09/03/09
After shopping at three to four other places for a spa my wife and i were very confused about the differences between what makes a spa different from another one. After meeting with Sean at Pool and Spa Depot, he explained to us what makes the difference. we purchased the spa at a lower price than anywhere in town. Delivery only took a few days, however one of the side panels was dented in. the delivery guy, called their office and had their service manager take care of it. They had the factory mail them an entire corner direct in just a few days. The problem was solved at no expense to me and my family and we have been able to enjoy the spa since. So far we have loved our experience with Pool and Spa Depot and plan on going back for that pool table that my son has his eye on. I reccomend them to anyone looking for skipping out on spending large amounts of cash on big family vacations like we did this year and creating a vacation spot in our back yard.

Worst Customer Service Ever!
By Elizabeth, 05/11/09
When I went to Pool & Spa Depot the salesman was wonderful. I bought an above ground pool in March only after being assured it would be in by May 1st. I patiently waited for them to contact me about an installation date but they never did. I finally started calling them only to get the run-around over and over again. When I finally reminded them I needed my pool in by May I got a smart remark that it's too cold to swim in May. It didn't matter to them that I was promised a pool by May, therefor taking my old pool down. So now I have a large empty sand pit off my deck and a huge graduation party in four days! So when my instillation day finally arrived, I took off work and waited around all day for my pool. When no one showed by noon I called the store to check on what time they would come. They told me I was on the schedule and the installer would be coming. So at 5pm I called the store again. This time they told me the installers truck broke down on the way to my house and he had tired to call me. That was a lie because I had my phone on me all day long. I would have to reschedule with the installer I was told. Funny thing is, when I called him, he said his truck didn't start in the morning, was getting fixed and the store should have called me. So again Pool & Spa Depot lied to me. I am scared for when my pool finally does get put in, what all will go wrong then! If it ever does get put in! Pool & Spa Depot has the worst service I have ever dealt with and I will never buy anything from them again!

Best pool building experience by far!
By Joanne, 01/20/09
This was our 3rd pool construction and the 1st two were nightmares in FL. We were hesitant to ever contract a pool again. We met with Stephen our Sales Rep at Pool and Spa Depot and explained our concerns. He worked with us every step of the way to be sure that our contract was explained line by line. Once the excavation was begun, it was one week to the day that is was completed and our fiberglass shell was backfilled and the plumbing run. All this during sub-freezing temp's! Thank you Pool and Spa Depot for hiring such quality installers and for being an upstanding company! We would recommend your services to anyone and everyone that is looking into pool installation! Worst customer treatment I have ever received!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/08
I was looking to purchase a spa. Went to Pool and Spa depot and the salesman was very knowledgeable-I felt like I had just attended a college course. Left there to think about which one to buy. Returned two weeks later and got a different salesguy-also very good. Paid 50% down and was told the spa would arrive in 3-4 weeks. 6 weeks went by and no phone call. I made about ten phone calls and was told they would call me back but no one ever did. I finally called and told them that if this is the service I get before I own it what would it be like after I got it and there was a problem? I eventually told them to forget it-I no longer wanted to purchase from them after eight weeks had passed and still no spa. The refunded half of my money-keeping $2828 for a "restocking fee." They did offer me the spa for $1000 less due to the wait-but I said I still did not want to do business with a company that treats their customers with so very little respect and consideration. I would have gladly waited if they had just kept me informed. I have been told everything from it was due to gas prices, being custom built and difficulty shipping from CA. I told them that I just want my money back and I will forget that I ever darkened their doorstep. I found out that they sold the hot tub just days after it came in-without even trying to work with me. I hate to have to take legal recourse but they seem to not care that they were wrong-I did not cancel the purchase because I changed my mind or anything. I cancelled due to the lack of good customer service, the delay in shipment and the lack of communication. I feel they were wrong and I should not have to pay nearly three thousand dollars.

8 Week Nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/07
It took 8wks to complete my inground pool. The hole was not deep enough. Then it was too deep. Gravel didnt arrive one day. Plumbing was not deep enough. Cut a hole in my garage wall for electrical. They know great drywallers!! Back yard has leftover sand, gravel, and dry cement. They left underground pipes exposed. Need a landscaper for the mess they created. The molding around the top that holds the liner in has spaces between it. When you call you never get to talk to a live person. Lucky if they call you back. I didnt think that a major expense would be such a nightmare. Dont reccomend them to anyone!!

Service and follow trhough are terrible!
By DawnD, 01/26/07
Walk into the Pool and Spa Depot in Antioch, TN and you will be greeted by a used car salesman that will promise you the world, take your money and then pretend you never existed. We bought both a pool and a hot tub with all the promises of 1yr, 5yr, 15yr, 30yr and lifetime warranties and the different elements that come with your purchases. What they do not tell you is, while the part may be under warranty, they charge you $75 just to come out and tell you what is wrong with it and then charge you by the hour to leave and come back another time and bring the new part/s and fix it. They give you times and dates they will come out and they cancel or just don't show up the first 5 times. The owner's son runs the service area and does a piss poor job of it. "Daniel" doesn't care what you think and he let's you know it. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a company!

You gotta see this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/06
I had a part replaced on our pump. They ordered the part and the two or three days it was going to take the part to get to our house turned into two weeks. Being from retail, I understood. In the process of replacing the part, one of their service guys cracked another pipe on our system. This caused a slow leak that I reported 2 days later. I received no help from the store or the Management. I was told that it was not their problem. I know it was their problem. They (the service guy)knew it was their problem but no one including the store manager himself wanted to take responsibility or ownership for the problem.....But wait there's more! After I allowed that to pass, being very forgiving, I gave them another chance. I decided to buy a pool cleaner. I was talked into an electronic cleaner. I paid about $1000.00 for this unit (which I found out was over priced). When I got it home and unpacked it I noticed that it seemed used. When I put it into the pool it did not work properly. I then took it back and told the person at the front counter the situation and she then admitted that it was a used unit. She said it was a demo unit that they loaned out to let customers test and see if they want to buy it or not. Again, I paid full price. I then returned the unit and bought the same unit online ($700). It works great. Overall, all my experiences have been bad thus I now shop at Watsons or online for things they don't carry. I can even add that during my first encounters with the people at Pool and Spa Depot I feel they started off being dishonest. I could tell they were on a quota. I would bring in water samples and they would sell me every thing short of another pool. They have never done that at Watsons. I should stop now. The more I think and type the madder I get thinking about my experiences there. :) I just hope this helps. I do not want anyone else to go through what I experienced there.

Run far away, quickly!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/06
We bought and PAID for a rectangular pool in February for a May installation. Two weeks out, I called and they set the exact date of installation. The day before they were supposed to install the pool, they called and said that they had accidentally sold OUR pool to someone else. They said it would take at least another month to get another pool. No offer of a discount, or a substitute pool. Needless to say we cancelled everything, and it took almost a week to get the refund. Went to Watson's and got almost the same pool $1500 cheaper with 3-day later installation and no issues. Avoid the Depot at all cost!!

Stay Away from pool and spa depot
By melissaw, 06/19/06
We bought a pool from them in march of 2005 and it was finally finally in june but the contractors cut corners and didn't weld the corners of the pool togather and now this year the liner is comming away from the pool. The never call back when you have a problem I even contacted the better business bureau but it did no good. They are out to sell a pool get the money and run very poor business they don't care if the make you happy or not.
