Tootsie's Orchid Lounge
Long ago, when country music superstars were performing at the Grand Ole Opry, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge became famous for featuring those stars when the “big show” was over. Fans still come here to see top-name performers and local artists alike, and the atmosphere hasn't changed a bit. The stage is small, but the sound is still huge. And country music lovers still ring up enormous bar tabs, just like in the old days.
The best up and coming singers were at tootsies Aug 4 2012.16 year old singer named Sara rocked the house followed by a 12 year old singer Morgan .These young artist were seasoned obviously omg these girls could sing .We were at Tootsies on a sat afternoon and alot of families with kids were coming through. We thought it was great that the young artist were putting on shows in the day time and everyone was nicer than nice.
i loved the singers they played new country and we loved it. It was super packed on a week day night but they still got your drinks to you. I met so many new friends and even adopted an aunt anna and uncle bob!

My best friend and I just got back from our first trip to Nashville. I was told before the trip that we had to go to Tootsie's and I am so glad that we did!! It was a great experience and the music was great. It was very fun and laid back! I now have a whole new appreciation for music and the bands that do this everyday for people like me to enjoy. It was very sad and hard to leave Nashville but I will be back!

Being an old guard country fan for years and reading accounts by Faron Young and Willie Nelson about a group of performers who helped each other out in a time that might be long gone. It was exciting to be part of Nashville's musical history. The memorabilia on the walls, the signatures on the albums, the instruments hanging on the walls made the visit seem both eerie, and exciting.Just knowing that the likes of Waylon, Willie, Roger Miller, Faron Young, Jim Reeves, Ray Price, Marty Robbins, Mel Tillis, Harlan Howard were such a part of these walls was, well just plain old errie. The place was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, and very cluttered, but all in all I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there and would definately come back.
This was our first time in Nashville. Four of us came down for the CMA Fan Fest . . . what a great time. We found Tootsie's on our first day we went in to the city and absolutely loved it. It's just a little honky tonk bar, but all the music we heard there was great! And Teri Clark came in to perform when we were there . . . doesn't get much better than that! Then we also saw Jason Michael Carroll . . . great too! I know that Jason DeShaw and The Country Way will be an up and coming group to watch for! We came every day to watch them play! They're just great! Thanks for the great memories!
There isn't anything I didn't like about Tootsies,, I was there about 6 years ago and it was just like I remembered it,, It is the best country bar in the world , without a doubt.. best music and best beer and the best people, ( customers and barmaids).. I would go back there every week if I had my way,,, but I am married and live in Canada.. I will be back though, soon !!!!!!
Tootsie's is the place to go when you are in Nashville. I was there for a convention at the Nashville Convention Center and was told to check out Tootsie's. I am so glad that I did. It might be small, but the bands are the best, the bartenders are great and the crowd is fun, fun fun !!! You can't say you were in Nashville if you did not visit Tootsie's !
the whole place is just grate we have geen going to nashville for the last 20 years and always have to hit tootsies at least once a day . some times for all night the place is wonderfull just to think of all the stars who started out there and are no longer with us. dont forget to have a swoller and a holler and put in a dopllar for the band.
