Southern Hospitality

They have stayed true to southern roots! We went around 11 on a sunday morning and it was an hour and half wait. All though we didnt want to wait that long, it was worth it! It's litteraly an old house, thats why the wait was so long, but it made the experience that much more enjoyable and authintic!! I had the pork chops with peach preserves which I loved! They were smoked chops, so you get the smokey flavor with the sweet and absolutley delicous peach preserves. The peach was my favorite, but you also get to try the blackberry and strawberry. I put those on the biscuts you get with the meal. I, also, enjoyed the gift shops. I purchased smoked bacon (killer!) ,country ham, and a bag of popcorn called Piggy Popcorn. it's popcorn cooked with bacon and maple. Different, yet, enjoyable. Also, had to try the Tennessee Tea Cakes. I've heard about them on food network and had to try! They were, aslo, good. Can't describe them though. Not a cake, but similar, very sugary and with a hint of molassas. I will come here again whenever I can, even with a long wait! I'm a country girl at heart and I felt right at home!!
