Stonebridge Golf Course
Golfing takes place year round at Stonebridge Golf Course, a lovely course with country club facilities in East Memphis. Located out east on I-40, this course will give you that day-in-the-country feeling. While here, you can also improve your skills on the driving range or the putting green. The course is located close to the popular Wolfchase Galleria , so you can drop your spouse off for a day of shopping, then hit the links. Because the place is so popular, you should reserve your tee time at least five days in advance. Closed only on Christmas Day.
I just recently played the course and felt that it was great condition. The greens putted excellent and gave a true ball roll. Fairways and rough were also in good shape. I love the layout of this course as it is unique to memphis. I recommend this course to anyone who plays golf.
The improvement on this course are great. It has always had a great layout but the greens were poor. With the new greens this is a great golf course. The only thing thaty need to improve is management of play on the course. It was very slow at times and no one let anyone go through.
I thought the course was very fun to play. The layout of the course is one of a kind in the memphis area. The new greens are looking and rolling great. The price was very reasonable. If you haven't played there in a while you should go out and play it. The course is in the best shape that I've seen it in a very long time. My overall experience was great and plan to go back and play the course again very soon.
Just played the course on the first day of re-opening after renovating to champion bermuda greens. The greens are in excellent shape best I've seen here in past years!! The fairways, tees, and rough are well maintained and played great. You can really tell that the course has new course superintendents from the shape of the course compared to how it was before it closed down for renovation. The pro shop staff also looked really professional and had things running smoothly especially as busy as the course was on re-opening on a thursday. Will be playing this course a lot more now and highly recommend it to anyone look for a great layout and a good challenge!!!
I've played pro courses and crappy $10 par 3's garbage dumps. This is a nice course, with a nice layout. To address the other review, this course is well worth the green fee. The layout is a good balance and a good challenge for those playing the tips. The pro shop was small but they have a nice large eating area when making the turn. The staff seemed capable enough. The guy checking players in was talkative and the ladies make food were pleasant. All in all definitely worth $40.
