This 12,000-seat stadium is the home of the AAA baseball team, the Redbirds. Sponsored by AutoZone, a locally founded and headquartered car parts business, the stadium features 1,500 club seats and 44 luxury suites with waiters, a lounge, and a bar for the high-flyers. The attached children's playground is an inspired touch, which will be much appreciated by families with restless youngsters. The architecture of the stadium has won awards, although there has been some criticism on the lack of parking provided for those attending games here.
The way baseball ought to be experienced. Good triple A action. Really wonderful, comfortable, clean, "new classic" stadium, like Camdem Yards but smaller. Simply enjoyable. Even if you don't like baseball, it's a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.
This is the most perfect place I can think of to watch baseball. There's not a bad seat in the house, even if you're sitting in the grass on the hill.
The food is great, from the Bar-b-que Nachos to the Dip-N-Dots. This park was designed with both families and hard core baseball fans in mind.
A great place to spend a warm spring evening with friends & family.
This is a great place to spend a summer evening in Memphis. Think about it. A nice outdoor activity in downtown Memphis where you can catch a baseball game, drink a beer and be a skip and a hop away from Beale St. after the game. This is a state of the art facility for a AAA team.
The value is also great. You can spend $10 - $40 for two people for three hours watching the future stars of Major League Baseball. You might have to spend a little money to eat and drink. Still would recommend this jewel for a potential date if she likes sporting events.
Make sure you have sunglasses and/or hat. The sun is crucial! Otherwise the atmosphere was great and so were the people. Close to Beale Street so after the game could walk down Beale Street. The nightlife was great with lots of music and food.
AutoZone Park is a great ball park for a town that doesn't have a major league ball team. It is centered in the heart of down town Memphis, right in the middle of everything. It is a great way to enjoy an afternoon.
