Memphis Zoo and Aquarium, Memphis

Everyone I know loves the Memphis Zoo because it just gets better all the time. Since the addition of "Cat Country" almost 20 years ago, the Memphis Zoo has slowly but surely become one of the nation's premier zoos. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the assortment of animals has become quite impressive. With ongoing plans for new exhibits, the Memphis Zoo will continue to be a favorite of my family. Going again tomorrow!

The zoo is great!! A wide variety of animals, beautiful landscaping, and great keeper chats!!! My family loves visiting the zoo. We always make this a must see for out of town guests and everyone are always pleased.

We have a yearly membership to the Memphis Zoo. My husband and I take our 4 year old son several times a year. You really could spend the whole day there. My favorites are Cat County and the Northwest Passage. The gift shops have tons of cool stuff. Don't miss this stop if you come to Memphis. If you live here, you should really think about getting a membership. It's definitely worth the money! Two family visits would pay for it.

it was so much fun our family loved it there were so many animals and the staff was really nice! i loved seeing all the animals everything was perfect my 5 year old and 12 year loved it! The place was very clean. I think this is the best zoo i have ever been to. I recommend you go to this zoo! IT'S PERFECT FOR ANYONE!

Not everything was open or operating...no children's rides, some food vendors. We went on Wednesday. We took a group of about 15 adults & kids. We spent a lot of money parking and entering and at one of the two souviner shops that were open------THE SAME PRICE as if everything were open!!! I don't plan on going back anytime soon.

I love the Memphis Zoo. It has numerous variation amongst its exhibits and animals. The zoo is also constantly updating the exhibits and maintaining zoo appearance. I've been to the zoo several times and very seldom has there been any trash lying on the ground. Also the animals themselves never disappoint. However for all its good points the zoo is victim to one disappointment. Food and drink will add heavily to the cost of your trip to the zoo. I would recommend packing your own lunch and drink. All in all the Memphis Zoo is one of the best in the nation. I would recommend this zoo to anyone!

I am a HUGE zoo fan. Anytime we go on vacation we try ti visit the zoo where we are staying. I have seen many but none come close to the Memphis Zoo!!! I live 1 hour from Memphis Zoo so I visit it often, I have been 10 times this year and I am going again on Friday.

the atmosphere was great the admission price was alittle high but once you got in everything else was cheap all the animals was out and we loved it

We were stunned at the beauty. This zoo is definitely a show place and extremely entertaining. Visit China and see Giant Pandas, and Polar Bears swimming right in front of you. Visit a farm where the kids can see and touch animals, including pigs, & horses. The animals in this zoo have room to roam yet the zoo is not overwhelming. I give this zoo 5 stars.
