Memphis Zoo and Aquarium

I love the Memphis Zoo. It has numerous variation amongst its exhibits and animals. The zoo is also constantly updating the exhibits and maintaining zoo appearance. I've been to the zoo several times and very seldom has there been any trash lying on the ground. Also the animals themselves never disappoint. However for all its good points the zoo is victim to one disappointment. Food and drink will add heavily to the cost of your trip to the zoo. I would recommend packing your own lunch and drink. All in all the Memphis Zoo is one of the best in the nation. I would recommend this zoo to anyone!

I am a HUGE zoo fan. Anytime we go on vacation we try ti visit the zoo where we are staying. I have seen many but none come close to the Memphis Zoo!!! I live 1 hour from Memphis Zoo so I visit it often, I have been 10 times this year and I am going again on Friday.

the atmosphere was great the admission price was alittle high but once you got in everything else was cheap all the animals was out and we loved it

We were stunned at the beauty. This zoo is definitely a show place and extremely entertaining. Visit China and see Giant Pandas, and Polar Bears swimming right in front of you. Visit a farm where the kids can see and touch animals, including pigs, & horses. The animals in this zoo have room to roam yet the zoo is not overwhelming. I give this zoo 5 stars.

Lions and tigers and bears! Oh my! This Zoo is the best in the nation. Try to come during one of their special events; it's the best deal in Memphis!

Most of the exhibits are first rate. We loved the Northwest Passage where you can watch the polar bears swim underwater. There is also an amphitheatre to see the sea lion show. The Discovery center is great for little kids, but could stand to be updated a little. It is a nice size zoo that can be a whole or half day trip depending on how much time you want to spend at the exhibits.

I really enjoyed the Memphis Zoo and aquarium. Seeing the lions snd tigers in a semi natural habitat was great. I really liked seeing the pandas and the polar bear exhibit, I could have watched all day. If you are ever there try to see the animal shows provided by the zoo education department.

ME AND MY FAMILY CHECKED SEVERAL ZOOS IN A 3 HOUR RADIUS. WE DECIDED ON THE MEMPHIS ZOO AND ARE GLAD WE DID. IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE ANIMALS SEEMED TO BE VERY HAPPY AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS GREAT. WE WILL DEFINATELY GO BACK AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO GO AS WELL.

I love taking my daughter to this zoo. It's clean, the sea lion show is cool, and we love to go see all the different animals and take pictures of them. It's definitely worth the time and I would say worth the money too. I have heard people in this area try to say that gangs have taken over the zoo but that's just not true. I don't feel unsafe at the zoo at all. If I did I wouldn't take my daughter. I would recommend it, it's a great place to take kids and also a good place to go with your friends or significant other.

I've been to several zoos, and this was by far the best one! There were some really great exhibits, and the keepers were really informative. This place is huge, and it took us all day to go through everything. It was clean and well-organized, and the enclosures seemed adequate. I saw some animals here that I've never seen at other zoos, and I would definitely recommend it.
